"Starfleet Academy" - The Show

I've removed the link to the file, as the contents don't seem to have anything to do with the topic at hand, or each other. If this is a promotion of your fanfic, keep it in the appropriate forum.

- Don't hotlink.
-Thanks, sorry this post was against forum rules in fact.
I'll try to keep in mind not to post anymore download links on this forum.
(The contents of the download link weren't that important really,
and academic in nature.)

Sorry for my above post, I see now you meant no harm by what you did. My remark was unkind.

I wonder if there is some scope for making flashbacks to when the Staff were in the Academy - part of the narrative structure of the show.

Comparing the generations experiences and how they dealt with the changes experienced between then and now...

Why not do all times at once?

Say the core point in the TL takes place some time shortly after PIC Season 1. However one or more of the main characters are cross-recruited into the Department of Temporal Investigations. As part of their training, they go into holo-scenarios of Starfleet Academy in the past, allowing them to learn how to properly interact in different periods of Federation history.

As much as I would love to see Starfleet Academy set following the formation of the Federation, I might have to change my answer after seeing the season 4 premiere of Discovery and see it set following the Burn.

I think Starfleet Academy will be set in the Discovery century. There was a mention of 'New Earth' on an internal memo last year.

Yeah, the out-of-the-blue introduction of "Starfleet Academy's first class since the Burn" gives more credence to the rumored idea of it being a Neo-Discovery-era show. Maybe it's going to be where they siphon off Saru's character once they run out of places to put him. Commandant Saru?

Doug Jones could have a recurring role as Captain Saru of the USS Voyager-J. That's been my guess for his fourth-season arc ever since the premiere - that the final episodes set him up to helm what sort of feels like Starfleet's flagship right now.

I like it set after the Burn. Many of these kids (I call them kids) grew up not seeing other species. I guess I am just fascinated by the 32nd century right now. The lead of the show could be the character that left in episode 4 (not sure if we can say).

Let's balance things out by having a seasoned mid-career professional or two taking a go at joining Starfleet. Yes, in real life, naval academies and the like usually place an upper age limit of around 22 or 23 for enrollment. But this isn't real life. And in the KelvinVerse we saw McCoy going through the Academy from the ground up after he was already a physician.
