Alex Kurtzman on streaming movies and the future of Trek

EDIT

If you want to know how serious this place is - I was banned for being overly critical of Kurtzman. But I can still edit.

That was LITERALLY the reason.

"Starfleet Enterprise" Who wrote that? Plus "they are the reason the enterprise even gets to operate smoothly?" I guess I get what was trying to be said, both by Kurtzman and whoever wrote that second bit. But man, that's torture to read. But not as tortuous as SEC31 was to watch.

Yeah Alex, Starfleet and the Federation have "black ops", but they aren't what most Trek fans want to see. Lesson learned?

Or they stop making content under Skydance.

Too bad.

I am saying that if you put one side by side it's obvious which one is taking place on a Starfleet vessel
Well, yeah. Agnes and the Borg Queen weren't actually aboard a Starfleet ship, or any ship in that scene. Now you're just twisting facts to make your point.
Terry Matalas - 12 Monkeys, Star Trek Picard, headhunted after his excellent work on Picard S3 by two huge studios to get involved with two huge projects.
And there you go again, talking about Matalas getting selected by Marvel as proof that he's A Very Big Deal. Yet, in the thread for the Buffy revival in SF&F you're calling that show a stillborn failure because Chloe Zhao is involved with it, despite the fact she too has done work for Marvel, which in your own words is one of the biggest studios around which only grants the very Best of the Best the privilege of working for them.

Noticing a certain trend in the writers he's criticizing versus the ones he's saying are A Very Big Deal.

Zhao won two Oscars for Nomadland in 2020.

She is THAT damn good.

I am aware of Zhao's qualifications, and did not have an issue with her getting hired by Marvel, though I didn't particularly care of The Eternals, but that is beside the point. I'm curious how one can in several threads go on about how great a man specifically because Marvel hired him, and then in another thread trash a woman as being "untalented" despite the fact Marvel also hired her too.

It was not aimed at you specifically. I was making an observation.

DS9 is my favorite Star Trek TV series, there are things I like about New Treks. Apart from this, I agree with Philly B.

Very likely he was involved in the cancellation of LD and Prodigy to find room for his latest failures.
Paramount does not have a production company like "Star Trek Studios" headed by Alex Kurtzman, so Paramount makes the decisions about cancellations, not Alex Kurtzman. If a production company is established at Paramount that will jointly decide on the production or cancellation of Star Trek works, like Disney's "Lucas Film" and "Marvel Studios", and if it is headed by Alex Kurtzman, then it would be said that there is an Alex Kurtzman Parma in cancellations. But there is no such thing at the moment.

Kurtzman's production company 'Secret Hideout' is involved with all the live action projects.

This isn't evidence of what you said.
