VOY: Neelix
ENT: Porthos

Honorary mention: Eddie from Frasier, who almost caused an intergalactic war with the Klingons in the Star Trek: Voyager / Frasier skit.

Or it's like when a Captain on a Navy ship brings their dog along (I have a friend that serves in the Navy - the captain has a Beagle aboard the ship).

If the dog has to go their either take him up on deck, regardless though an Enlistedman always gets the honor of cleaning up his remnants.
