Game The Most Disliked Episode From THR's 100 Greatest Star Trek Episodes, 2025 Edition

I have a really soft spot for His Way as I was a huge Odo/Kira fan, and VIc Fontaine was a fun addition to the cast.

36. Redemption I & II”, TNG Seasons 4 & 5
44. “Soldiers Of The Empire”, DS9 Season 5
74. “The Infinite Vulcan”, TAS Season 1
76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
77. “Damage”, ENT Season 3
80. “Broken Bow”, ENT Season 1
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
92. “E2”, ENT Season 3
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4
96. “Borderland”/”Cold Station 12”/”The Augments”, ENT Season 4
97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5
100. “The Andorian Incident”, ENT Season

“Flashback”, VOY Season 3

Always had a weakness for this ep, even if part of it was spent in belaboring the obvious. I liked how Kes became increasingly more clued in as to what was happening to her, and the people around her became increasingly clueless as she jumped back (as would indeed be logical).
That's Before and After you're thinking of. Flashback is the one with Sulu in.

! You're right.

Even so, I still think I can maintain my elimination. Flashback is a nice nostalgic Voyager revisit of TOS times (judged through the late 24th century lens of Janeway) with updated production values. The only thing I though was less was that silly virus (or something) masquerading itself as a memory. But story device, whatever.

ETA (new abbreviation I learned today) : It just struck me that what happened to me happened to Tuvok too in the episode (confusing 2 very different nebulae / episodes). Funny coincidence.

I thought (80) ENT: “Broken Bow” was such a fantastic start to the then new series. I liked all the characters - well, I didn't like Archer at first, but I did by the end - and it was great to see them wary/confused/fascinated with the people, places, and events that they encountered. Early ENT really did show how wild and different space can be.

I will save Redemption, I & II. The last 2-parter on the board. Picard as Arbiter of Seccession. Worf & Kurn get Gowron installed as Chancellor & restore their family name. B'tor & Lursa are foiled. As is Sela. And Data shuts up an android-hating officer.

44. “Soldiers Of The Empire”, DS9 Season 5
74. “The Infinite Vulcan”, TAS Season 1
76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
77. “Damage”, ENT Season 3
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
92. “E2”, ENT Season 3
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4
96. “Borderland”/”Cold Station 12”/”The Augments”, ENT Season 4
97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5
100. “The Andorian Incident”, ENT Season 1

I'll continue to the next in the list and pick DS9's Soldiers of the Empire. Giving a whole episode over to a Klingon crew was a bit of a risk but it worked.

74. “The Infinite Vulcan”, TAS Season 1
76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
77. “Damage”, ENT Season 3
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
92. “E2”, ENT Season 3
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4

97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5

Saving E2.

Just the scene between young and old T'Pol about following your heart makes it already worth it.

74. “The Infinite Vulcan”, TAS Season 1
76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
77. “Damage”, ENT Season 3
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4
96. “Borderland”/”Cold Station 12”/”The Augments”, ENT Season 4
97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5
100. “The Andorian Incident”, ENT Season 1

I will save The Andorian Incident with T'Pol demonstrating her loyalty to the crew and the truth over blindly following her own people. To her likely detriment, career-wise.

74. “The Infinite Vulcan”, TAS Season 1
76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
77. “Damage”, ENT Season 3
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4
96. “Borderland”/”Cold Station 12”/”The Augments”, ENT Season 4
97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5

I will save "The Infinite Vulcan", for being delightfully insane, and absolutely the strangest chapter in Trek's decades-long arc about Khan and the augments. Starting all the way back in season 1 TOS, and still going strong in the streaming era!

But never weirder than in "The Infinite Vulcan."

Ha! Just realized if one were to watch the Augments arc chronologically, it would be "Space Seed" into "The Infinite Vulcan" into "Wrath Of Khan." Maybe I'll marathon them that way someday...

76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
77. “Damage”, ENT Season 3
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4

97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5

Is a mistaken identity save still a save?
We've done it both ways depending on how quickly it's caught. You did it the ideal way, if the mistakenly saved episode is still liked eough that it can just be saved with new elimination reasons. :bolian:

Also, now that you mention it -- personally I definitely would put "Before & After" on this list instead of "Flashback"!

I'm going to rescue Damage, as it was one of the best episodes in the excellent last stretch of Enterprise's third season.

76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4
96. “Borderland”/”Cold Station 12”/”The Augments”, ENT Season 4
97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5

I second that emotion on Damage, Sisko gets flowers for a dark move in DS9, and so should Archer here.

I will save the return of the Soongs in the Borderland/Cold Station 12/The Augments trilogy. Spiner was a welcome return. And 3 has to be better than one, right?

76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
91. “The Lorelei Signal”, TAS Season 1
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4
97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5

I was feeling so torn between "The Lorelei Signal" and the ENT Augments trilogy, so now my last save is easy! I just love that we finally get to see Uhura in command.

I have some degree of fondness for all three remaining, none jumps out at me as an obvious winner.

76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4
97. “Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5

I put it off as long as I could, but I would have saved Lorelei if I got another shot. Uhura in command!

TAS is now off the board.

This is a hard call. I think I'll save "Someone To Watch Over Me”, VOY Season 5

Do I think it's objectively better (if such a thing exists?) No, but I simply like it more, especially drunk Tomin ('Seven .... assimilate meeeeeeee!'). That said, I probably need to rewatch 'home', it has been a long time since I've seen it.

And of course the final dialog with his Holiness, with Tomin barely able to stand because of his huge hangover:

JANEWAY: Good to be home. How's it going?
NEELIX: All systems functioning normally. Ensign Kim detected a minor fluctuation in sensor array, but he took care of it.
JANEWAY: I was referring to Ambassador Tomin. Did he enjoy his visit?
NEELIX: Oh, well, well, I would say that he, er, he enjoyed himself immensely.
ABBOT: There are many distractions aboard this vessel. You didn't indulge in any of their more colourful traditions?
TOMIN: Of course not.
NEELIX: We followed the itinerary that you approved, to the last detail.
ABBOT: Oh, shame.
TOMIN: Your Holiness?
ABBOT: It isn't a violation to explore new experiences, as long as you don't make a habit of it.
TOMIN: I see your point.

76. “Brothers”, TNG Season 4
95. “Home”, ENT Season 4

I will save Home as T'Pol's actions in The Andorian Incident at P'Jemm hurt her mother, she married to restore the family name to Trip's anguish, but he supports her anyway. Phlox faces anti-alien sentiment pist-Xindi, and Archer gets back in the saddle rock climbing with a fellow captain.

Sucks to have a TNG ep win, but as much as I liked Brothers, Home I think is narrowly better.
