Would remaking TOS episodes make you upset?

If Kirk was played by a different actor I'd fine ok with it but I can't get behind Wesley. His Kirk is very well written but he was mis casted which is weird considering how spot on they were with the rest of the cast.

I think he gets better with every appearance.

Wesley does just fine in the role so far, especially since we've seen alternate versions of his Kirk at this point more than we've seen his Prime Kirk.

I think SNW should end right after Kirk takes command. We already saw those stories. I would watch the remade episodes if they aired them, but it is not my preference.

I think straightforward remakes of previous episodes would be lazy.
What could be interesting, potentially, would be to tell the story of an existing episode from another perspective, such as lower decks, or some "B story" that we didn't know about, which was happening at the same time. I mean, "If It Was Done Well" (tm).

I suspect as AI increases we're going to see fan-made redone episodes of TOS with the SNW bridge, probably an AI-remade Cage with the SNW actors etc. Maybe even an AI touched up Trouble with Tribbles with the DS9 gang all in there. Whether these will be good or whether Paramount allows such works to stay uploaded (very unlikely as it's a blatant copyright violation) once this happens is another matter.

Another thing we might see is straight up live actionized episodes of TAS done by fans with too much free time using AI.

Extremely doubtful Paramount or even SAG would allow that. I think there’s legislation going through in California that adds protections against AI/deepfake videos such as those.

Personally, a future where it’s all AI slop of reimagining pre-existing properties is a bleak one.
