Our Heroes have defeated the bad guys, restored the timeline and achieved their dream of becoming Star fleet cadets. At the same time, it tied into the events of Picard and leaves Our Heroes on their ship, the Protostar, beginng a mission of exploration as Starfleet officers.

The new Borg and what led to their creation is pretty good. So is the new faction's malevolence. Change out the soundtrack and a slight polishing of some scenes and part one could easily be in the upper ranks next to "Q Who" and "The Best of Both Worlds".
Starts out interesting enough despite some by-the-numbers stuff. Dudes even got names now.
Cliffhanger (with resolution edited in)! By a character that arguably wasn't even needed, as rogue Borg would have reintroduced the fear factor. This is just... hokey small universe fanservice, for lack of better word.
