Light hearted Voyager episodes

CaptPicard

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Currently I am watching Voyager season 6 on DVD and will be soon headed to season 7. This is the first I've seen these episodes since their broadcast and my wife bought them for me for x-mas to finish off my star trek collection. I now have all the shows and movies on DVD-their my prized possession, lol. I tend to get more enjoyment from the trek episodes that are lighter in tone. Don't get me wrong the bad guy of the week, its us or them episodes are great, but the lighter episodes help break up the tension. Neelix, the EMH and the holodeck were the launch pad for a lot of those episodes. So in keeping with that theme, what do you think were some good light-hearted Voyager episodes. Since I am currently watching season 6 fresh in my mind are Virtuoso, Doctor Tinker Tenor Spy, Fair Haven, Spirit Folk . . .

One come to mind "Someone to Watch Over Me" when the Doc tries to develop Seven's dating skills, and Neelix tries to control the Ambassador who gets out of control...

My favorite light hearted Episode was Season Four's "Message in a Bottle".

Brit

"Bride of Chaotica" is my favorite. Paris' instructions to Janeway ("Remember, you're the queen!") are a highlight. :)

Here are a few light hearted episodes that come to my mind:

Tinker, Tenor, Doc, Spy
Virtuouso
Bride of Chaotica!
The episode about the smart bomb..the Doc talks to it..it's hilarious! :D It's from year 5 I think.
Message in a Bottle
The Swarm-really good episode=the Doc looses his memory and it's sort of light hearted in some parts
Night: good Doc parts!! :) On a funny note: I recently saw an interview with some of the Voy cast at a Vegas Con in 2007 or 2008 and Picardo mentioned this episode in general and about an alien that looked like a gigantic tottsie roll..and he was called the "Captains Log". :guffaw: That had me laughing for 20 minutes!

Not a light hearted episode (Or it could be if you think about it) but I found Future's End amusing. Kinda weird to see Sarah Silverman on Star Trek after watching her "other" show, but the scene I loved was Neelix and Kes being infatuated with a soap opera. Good stuff.

I can't remember which epi, but the look on Mulgrew/Janeway's face when the alien puffs his nostrils/face in outrage cracks me up every time.

Yeah. That reaction almost seemed unrehearsed it was so genuine. Perhaps it was the first time she'd seen what it looked like with the makeup. I have always wondered if it were just something the actor beneath that makeup discovered and then just improvised and they left it in. That was one of the stand-out humorous moments for me.
