If SNW only gets 5 seasons as well

Worst-case scenario: SNW gets cancelled after the 3rd season/SFA only lasts one season.

(Yes, I know that both SNW and SFA have already been renewed for seasons 4 and 2 respectively, but there's no guarantee that by 2026-2027, Paramount+ will even be existing in its current form. And let's look at the big picture:

2025: All we're getting this year is that piece of shit Section 31 movie and ten episodes of SNW S3.
2026: Most likely ten episodes of SFA S1 and possibly ten episodes of SNW S4.
2027: SFA S2.

And theatrical films? Fuggedaboudit. Paramount has cried wolf so many times on that, it's become a pathetic joke.

That's a long wait to go between seasons and shows. And that's just me being conservative about anything past this year.)

Disagree. TMP era bridge looks more of a modernisation.
No, the TMP bridge looks small and unconvincing and horribly dated, now.

The only really good design they've used in the films is in ST 5.

SNW is a nearly perfect updating and elaboration of TOS. After 20 episodes, I completely accept that this ship is that ship.*

*More importantly, that these actors/characters were the precursors to the TOS crew.

Just look at the set plans and you'll see how closely they emulated the TOS Bridge.

Yes, it's bigger. Yes, it has another door and a large viewscreen/windows.... but the shape is the same. The number of seats and consoles is the same. The layout is the same. It feels like THE BRIDGE of THE ENTERPRISE.

And hasn't Paramount+ finally turned profitable?

Don’t know. I don’t have access to their financial information. But my post wasn’t so much about how much money they’re making. Rather, it was more about Paramount’s future as an entity and what will happen once it’s sold.

SNW just began filming season 4 this week.

And Prodigy season 2 was complete and then CBS/Paramount decided not to show it. So anything’s possible.

Now with that said, do I think they will do the same with SNW S4 and SFA S1? Doubtful. But my example of PRO shows that anything is possible in the volatile world of streaming, and the amounts of time between production and release.

SNW and Academy are probably safer not being joint ventures.

In your opinion.
Couldn't agree with you at all.
TMP is highly cinematic and them sets have had more longevity than any other in Star Trek history.

I certainly do not accept its the same in universe ship. Far from perfect for me, sorry.

What else would anything in these topics be?
Just every time you reply its. No, nope, nah. It reads a bit dismissive of other peoples opinion.
I may be reading more into it, if that's so I apologise but that's why I felt I needed to put 'in your opinion' in there.

I can't take the pre-ST5 Enterprise set designs seriously.
I don't know why one would think that, please tell me the reason to that opinion.
Also what bridge designs, other than SNW, would you take seriously as for examples?

The only reason Prodigy season 2 was completed was because they had sold it to Netflix.

There's no way that even if Paramount + completely folds ( which is honestly not likely); Strange New Worlds Seasons 3 and 4, along with Starfleet Academy Season 1, would end up being sold or licensed to some other streaming service or TV outlet and would still air in some form.

Because it's a bland little plastic dome with lots of little pretend-electronic "instruments" that move randomly* and don't look as if they're doing anything useful. It's the most 70s imagining of "the future" you could imagine, and - the most important thing - it's dreary. Empty. Ugly.

The original TV version had a lot of architectural interest and dynamic angles, not to mention color. The SNW bridge takes inspiration from every aspect of it. TMP's overall look suggested that they were embarrassed by TOS.

There aren't a lot of Trek bridges that I like. ST 5, TNG and the Kelvin bridge from ST 2009.

And if i appear dismissive of some opinions, it's because I'm dismissive of some opinions.

*When they move at all.
