Historic Trek main characters who've yet to appear in modern Trek:

I'm counting Harry Kim as well. We didn't see the prime universe version, just a bunch of duplicates. I would welcome an update on the status of the real deal... but I don't think it's going to happen. The LD solution seemed specifically geared to keeping the character in permanent limbo.
Maybe Garrett Wang would return to play Harry if Harry made lieutenant.

Ironically, Garrett seriously wanted to do "Lower Decks", so he came up with what even I admit would have been a hilarious post-VOY fate for his character: disgusted at not being promoted, Harry left Starfleet and opened up a restaurant close to Starfleet Academy: Admiral Kim's Bar and Grill.

But yes, I expect he would return as Harry, either in the LD/PRO era as a lieutenant, the PIC/Legacy era as a captain, or even to Starfleet Academy as a hologram of an admiral, teaching tactics or some such thing. But if he did, the fans who wanted him promoted would be pleased, but the ones who took pleasure at him being stuck at ensign forever would be upset. By keeping him in limbo, the writers don't please either side, but they don't enrage anyone, either.

if Yar counts as main cast then so should Pulaski
Tasha Yar was listed in the show's opening credits, which makes her main cast. Pulaski was listed as a Guest Star in the episode specific credits for all episodes she was in. Which means she's not main cast.

But, I get it, no one on this forum understands how these nuances on television works. After all, everyone here believes Detmer, Owo and the rest of Disco's bridge officers should have been considered main cast despite only listed as co-stars. I should know better than to expect anyone to understand someone listed as a "guest star" is not part of the show's main cast.

LD takes place over 10 years after Voyager returned home,
No. Ten years after Voyager's return is the Romulan supernova, which most certainly has not happened in Lower Decks, even by the end of the series. As noted above. season 1 of Lower Decks takes place two years after Voyager's return. Hell, even S2 of Prodigy is only six years after Voyager's return.

Which means Boimler's claim that Naomi Wildman is ten years old is completely accurate. Indeed, in 2382 of the now defunct Litverse continuity, Naomi was only a first-year Cadet.
