Bring Enterprise (the series) back via animation?

It'd certainly be possible to do it like Spock described it, but they'd chose to depict it differently.

Until ENT came along, here's how I had depicted it in my mind for the last 20 years.

Based solely on Spock's statement, and from peripheral material from the '80's and '90's like FASA and the early novels, I envisioned the war as having extremely primitive ships which were more like small fighter craft moving slowly through space, nuclear-powered, interacting with like small piloted Romulan craft, lobbing nuclear warheads at each other. Not with phasers, photon torpedoes, or whatever the ENT equivalent of those were, but with projectile weapons. Perhaps these craft were air-capable as well as spaceworthy, and descended down on planets to drop their warheads on the surface. Unlike my esteemed colleague Hotrod, I don't share the opinion that the NX-01 was less advanced than the Constitution class, but that's not really relevant to the discussion, because ENT was envisioned entirely differently from how the writers of "Balance of Terror" envisioned that time period to be. Of course, my envisioning would be quite boring viewing, but far more realistic to me.
