Bring Enterprise (the series) back via animation?

The Animated Series acted as a 4th season to the original show. Lower Decks acted as a 4th series to 90's Trek. Prodigy acted as a mix of spin-off and sequel to Voyager. Could Enterprise (the series) continue in animated form? Why animated? Well, my idea would be to pick up after S4. With the show having ended 19 years ago, if it comes back in animated form, we don't have to worry about the actors being older. Do you think there'd be an audience?

I'm thinking it could work. I think there is generally enough interest to appeal to a portion of Trek fans while possibly exploring more tech development in animated form.
I mean, everyone wants to see the Romulan War. Imagine an animated show that acts as a sequel to Enterprise and finally shows us the war between Humans and Romulans that lead to the Federation. Even Trip can be part of the show, because his death doesn't happen until 2161.

No thanks. We have Enterprise weekly adventures in the form of SNW, and I don't want a Romulan war series (although there's a chance it'll feature in the next movie) because we've had the Dominion War and the Klingon War already.

I'd rather ENT characters come back in other forms as one-offs.

SNW is not the NX-01, it's not Archer, T'Pol, Trip, Malcolm, Travis, Hoshi, Phlox, and fun recurring characters like Soval and Shran. Yes, we've had "war" in the form of the Klingons and Dominion on DS9 (S4 and S6-7), the Xindi on ENT (S3), and another Klingon war on Disco (S1). However, the Romulans have been horribly underutilized across the franchise, and everyone wants to see the Birth of the Federation, and people have complained for 20 years about ENT being cancelled just before that story would have bene told. So... why not? The show could use the Earth-Romulan war as backdrop while we focus on the NX-01 focusing building alliances. It could work.

But what the hell is an OTOY?
It's the name of the effects company that created the Kirk and Spock effects for their recent short film. The actors portraying Kirk and Spock are wearing real-time digital masks, essentially sophisticated Snapchat filters, and the final effect is astounding.

If they could get such accurate looking likenesses of Shatner and Nimoy on actors who look nothing like them, imagine how effective they could be if the person wearing the "mask" is actually the actor in question? The entire crew could film an episode or a movie and look the age they were 20 years ago with a minimum of post-production work.

ETA: The images in the articles linked above show how accurate OTOY's work can be. Keep in mind that that is neither William Shatner nor Leonard Nimoy in those images.

I don't like this at all. Let old people be old, let dead people be dead. I'd rather just recast, let new and young actors show their faces, please. I am not a fan of CGI-face. What about you? Do you like or dislike this kind of stuff? :)

That's entirely fair. As for me, I'm always one to imagine the... possibilities. The technology has already come so far since Luke Skywalker appeared in The Mandalorian. As long as the actors in question or their heirs are involved, and hopefully appropriately compensated, I think that's entirely fair as well. In the OTOY video, William Shatner is listed as an executive producer as is Susan Bay Nimoy (Leonard's widow).

Have you seen Terminator: Dark Fate, the 6th movie? No spoilers if you have not.
It's a 2019 film opening with a flashback scene following T2, ignoring the previous 3 films.
Things get complicated... The 2019 film's opening flashback is set in 1998, 3 years after T2 (set in 1995, but released in 1991) features young John Connor for like 2 minutes. It's such a brief scene. They spent a lot of money to map Edward Furlong's face as of T2 onto Jude Collie with the use of Aaron Kunitz for the voice. The problem is, Edward Furlong was 13 in T2, but playing a 10-year-old. Maybe he hit puberty early. Why does he look exactly the same 3 years later? He should look 13 or 16 depending on if you're adding 3 years to the actor or the character. I kept thinking, why can't they just recast? Let Jude Collie show his face, it's his only scene in the film.

It made more sense with Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, because they have starring roles in the film, so I didn't mind de-aging them for the flashback with body doubles and CGI face.

There's a time and place where I think CGI face works, and there's a time and place where I say, just let the younger actor show their face. T6 is a good example. Linda and Arnie, CGI face made sense. For John Connor, not so much.

So let me get this straight. You asked this:

What group, what vids?

And then another member helpfully provided you a link that literally answered all your questions, and your response is:

Too long, didn't read, because I don't care that much.

If you don't care, why bother asking the question?

To answer your original thread question, I would watch an animated Enterprise series. But I don't think it would be made, because a) Paramount has cancelled both of their current animated shows, so animation doesn't seem to be a big enough audience draw for them, and b) I doubt Paramount is going to be in any kind of rush to create a revival for a series that they cancelled originally due to lack of ratings.
