Big Brother 19

Agreed. His eyes and face are so cold and expressionless, it's like there's nobody alive in his body. Notice how he never smiles at any of the female houseguests?

I keep looking at Jessica and seeing Maritza from Orange is the New Black.

Jessica says "Pao Pao" and Megan hears "Panda" and goes and plays the race card? Wow. That's a liberal stereotype and a form of soft racism.

Megan must be seeing this now and feeling dumb. Sucks the way it worked out for Jillian.

I'm picking Matt as early favorite just because he's smart and everyone likes him.

If Megan genuinely misheard, I don't fault her for thinking she heard a racist comment.

Cody and Jessica are utterly vile. I'm actually trying to figure out if there's anyone in the cast this time who isn't vile.

So help me, I really didn't like Paul last season, but he may be the least vile person there this time.

As for Megan, I have trouble believing that she used to be an interrogator. Don't they have to be tough-minded and not take insults personally?

Suspect: I'm hungry, do you think I can get a burger?
Megan: I KNEW YOU'D CONFESS TO MURDER!

I agree about Cody, but you think Ramses, Alex, and Christmas are vile? Matt is allied with the vileness but is not in himself vile.

Unless the live feeds tell a different story, I do think this was more a case of she misheard something, got the wrong idea, and didn't stop to think things through.

Of course that escalated the bullying, she had a breakdown, and left the show. And the attitude by Cody and Jessica was VILE.

Honestly, I forgot about Christmas and Ramses (I wish she'd get a nickname so the producers wouldn't insert that stupid sleigh bell sound every time someone says her name). No, they're not vile. Ramses seems nice enough.

I don't like Alex, though. Matt should realize that he will (like everyone else) be judged by the company he keeps. So while he hasn't given off any vibes that make me loathe him as I already loathe Cody, he'd best realize that Cody is only out for Cody and has no respect for things like friendship or even (as we saw by what he said about Paul) a "gentlemen's handshake." He will turn on his allies the second he thinks they're no longer useful to him.

When I think of Marine Corps, I definitely don't think Cody. I hope if some vets see some of the language he's used and the way he and Jessica have had so much fun with Megan's suffering, that they would take him to task about it for disgracing their name.

I love Kevin, easily my favourite houseguest this time around.

Why did Paul have to come back? The producers continue to bring back people we liked that didn't win (Paul, James, Nicole, Daniele), who decide that they have to change their games (that we liked) to win the game and we end up hating them. Why can't we have a "Second Chances" seasons since so many of the All-Stars we've loved are not going to play again?

And what the hell is going on with this cast? Did they feed them sugar mixed with steroids? Not only are they more hyper than usual, showmance is the word of the season. The fact that the question is asked in their introductions just shows that the producers believe they can only sell this show with people who look good in swimwear. I'll give them the cast of Kevin and Jason, but they are cast to be the guy who says funny shit and the cowboy stereotype, but the rest of them are simply there for eye candy while they lay around.

Speaking of laying around, remember when BB had food and luxury competitions? If you really want to make it tempting, have the houseguests have to put someone on slop for three weeks or not allowed to lift weights or some BS like that. Mess with their basic comforts.

I enjoyed the food and luxury competitions. Let them work for their treats instead of having everything handed to them. I remember how intense the competitions were just for the chance at getting a balanced 4-major-food-groups plus a dessert for the week, and the chance of being allowed to use the swimming pool.

And WTF is in this slop stuff? Apparently it tastes and smells horrible, but is it actually edible? Why did they quit the PB&J? Was it deemed too good for them, or did someone have a peanut allergy?

I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing the food competitions on Sundays. They need to fill an hour somehow and nominations aren't going to do all of it, just this week they had introductory stuffs to do. And nothing like battle of the block this season.

They probably made sure that the slop is fortified with essential nutrients, they don't want anyone dying of malnutrition in there. No different than processed food, except without the flavoring and texturizing.

I like Kevin, I give him a shot just because he's an intelligent nonthreatening outsider who knows not to make waves, and as we learned from Steve and Ian, that can get you really far in the game. Nobody has any reason to nominate him. He's never going to be the most threatening member of any alliance. But if he gets to the end he can spin out a point for point story about how it was all part of his master plan.

The sooner they get rid of Cody and Jessica, the more watchable this show will be. Those two are disgusting.

And I suspect Ramses doesn't have long in the house, after getting that penalty.

I missed most of the episode and tuned in for the eviction vote. What happened to Christmas' leg?

Did she injure herself so she wouldn't be seen as a challenge threat? ;)

I'd rather have kept Christmas in the house than Jillian, but I feel bad for Jillian. She really got screwed. First a basically random twist that put her on the block, which caused her to get put on the block against somebody she could beat, who quit the game and then got replaced by somebody else she could beat, who won the veto and the HoH tried to nominate somebody ELSE she could beat, who was protected by a twist, and was finally against somebody she couldn't beat.

Jillian's eviction is on the level of unfairness of happening to wind up in the minority in Survivor after a tribe switch.

Christmas and Jason were horsing around out on the lawn and she injured her foot. At first she thought she'd broken it, but a couple of the guys carried her into the diary room where, I presume, a medic examined her.

Turns out she tore some ligaments and will be on crutches until she heals.

Paul did a humongous amount of campaigning to keep Christmas in the house, and some of Cody's former allies turned against him for putting up Christmas (they were wondering why he hadn't nominated Kevin, Jason, or Ramses).

Cody did some more of that obnoxious teeth-brushing-while-someone's-talking-to-him behavior. At some point, if I were in that house, I'd feel like grabbing that damn toothbrush and throwing it in the toilet since he just stalks around the room brushing, brushing, brushing until the other person gives up and leaves. It's effective when you don't want to talk to someone, but it's not good social gameplay.

I must be confused about the penalty Ramses received. Wasn't he supposed to be an automatic third nominee for the next 3 evictions? He wasn't even mentioned tonight.

I don't understand that reference.

I just hate his disgusting, expressionless face and constant hostile body language that's giving me vibes that any woman stupid enough to marry or live with him had better have the number of a domestic abuse shelter memorized.

Josh doesn't impress me, but Jessica and Cody's bullying is just hateful. These two would have been right at home on the season with Evil Dick and his disgusting daughter.

Back to the Future reference, he's the series' high school bully.

The year Dick won, to me he was actually the least hatable one on the show. That was one of the series worst casting jobs, right up their with racist season where thankfully the only semi-likable person in the house won.

This season's casting is also one of the worst but not quite the worst.

Oh, okay. I never saw those movies.

Wasn't that the season when he burned one of the female house guests on the arm with his lighted cigarette, and it wasn't an accident? He did it deliberately. I don't know why he wasn't removed on the spot, but they let him stay AND he made it to the end with his daughter.

How is that not "hatable"? He committed the crime of assault.

This season's casting is also one of the worst but not quite the worst.
Cody has serious anger/violence issues. It's more than obvious, so of course that's someone they lock up in a studio "house" with a bunch of other people for 90 days.

Makes sense.

Maybe they just didn't look any farther than the eye-candy factor. His body isn't bad to look at, but his eyes are just dead, at least when they're not telegraphing, "I hate you."

As for Jessica, she's going to get a rude awakening. There's no way he's ever going to sacrifice anything for her sake, and the moment he even suspects that she's said or done anything other than what he tells her to do, he'll throw her away.

I must say, Kevin is a good liar, and of course Cody couldn't imagine that an "old man" would dare lie to him.

I just wish they'd stop those stupid sleigh bells every time Christmas' name is mentioned. It's dumb.

I don't remember the cigarette incident, was that the first or second? He was removed his second game, right?

The reason I was rooting for Dick that season is even more than usual everyone else was a cliquey overly judgmental elitist. He was a jerk but he wasn't that. If I had known about the cigarette thing I would have just turned off the season and rooted for nobody.

The cigarette incident happened his first season. I think the female house guest was named Jen, or Jennifer. They absolutely hated each other, and I think she ended up leaving the game early because she got so stressed. She wouldn't wear her microphone and deliberately violated the "have-not" rule about food (she cooked herself a burger and ate it when she was supposed to be on slop or PB&J - whichever it was that season). I guess it just got to the point where she figured if he could get away with assaulting her, she'd just do whatever she wanted as well, and damn the rules.

Of course, CBS reprimanded her and Evil Dick ended up with $$$$$$ at the end of the show.

I was appalled when they brought him back a second time.

I must have missed that incident, I was watching off and on that season because of the sheer amount I hated everybody. Everybody in the entire house was calling everybody not in their alliance evil that season. I didn't even watch his second season. I remember they had a vote between six duos, and they picked Brenchel, Jeffdan, and the Donatos over Dr Will and Mike. I wanted so little to see any of those six again I turned it off and never turned it back on.

I think that Mark and Matt's reaction to Cody has redeemed them and made me more interested in following the season. So long as Ramses doesn't **** up Cody's eviction by winning the veto.

Not that I blame Ramses for picking that week to be cursed. If you have to be nominated one week, your best bet is the week everybody in the entire house is gunning for the same person.

There was a lot of hate going around that season. The cast was made up of people who were connected to other people but hadn't known they were going to be on the show. I remember Evil Dick looking at a monitor and saying in disgust, "That's my daughter." He wasn't remotely pleased to see her. I also remember there being a couple that had split up, and they weren't happy to see each other, either.

Yes, I agree that this is probably the best time for Ramses to put himself on the block. Unless something weird happens, he should be safe. And in all honesty, I really don't care if Josh or Alex end up being evicted.

Of course it would be best if Cody were evicted, but in case he isn't, he can't actually prove that he was Paul's real target.

I have a question: Is the "Who wants to see my HoH room?" thing mandatory? If it is, I must have slept through Cody doing it. Not that I'd want to see any of his pictures or hear his letter. And if Jessica was supposed to be there and wasn't, will she be reprimanded?

You're not required to be there for 'Who wants to see my HoH room' but it's an established show tradition and not being there is a snub and sign of intentional disrespect.
