Some of the other houseguests definitely don't like her choice to say. Matt and Raven feel frustrated because they are in an alliance with her, but if one of them were on the block and she got picked to play in veto but couldn't participate, that takes away an opportunity from someone else on their side who could play and possibly use the veto on them. Paul was annoyed that she was out of the house for so long, because in the two days that she gone there was quite a lot of gaming going on. Pretty much everyone had turned on Dominique, who was barely noticed before, by the time she returned. Paul and others had to play a lot of catch up with her to bring her back up to speed.

I don't really know what the right answer is. Since Christmas' career is basically on hold now, she probably figures that she might as well gain additional exposure and money by sitting around the Big Brother house, instead of sitting around at home. It makes logical sense. She's also mentioned at least twice that at this point she's really just hoping to get to jury, because then she is guaranteed a stipend for the rest of the season, and still gets to play a part in the game. I don't think she is really expecting to win at this point.

On the other hand, surgery is no joke, and 10 broken bones (yes, 10!!), with multiple pins, plates, screws, etc. has got to be painful. Just coming out of anesthesia can be hell. It's all hard enough to cope with when you're surrounded by family and friends who can take care of you, but to do it surrounded by strangers who are out to get you in a game for money has to be really tough, physically and mentally.

Was she actually sitting in the bathroom, babbling away in tongues?! All this "thankyoujesus/whereveriamgodistoo" babble she utters makes me want her gone even more than I want Jessica gone.

All her hysteria about "snakes"... wow. She put a huge target on herself.

So this time around I will be satisfied, no matter which one gets evicted. I can't stand either of them.

I wonder what Kevin will do with his $27 windfall?

I like Dominique but if she's going to be thinking every time she trips on a wire that God put it there, I think I don't want her to stay in the house.

Besides bullying, nothing makes me hate a houseguest more than moral egotism. Assuming that God considers your claim to win money in a game morally greater than other people's.

I'm not surprised she wasn't forced to leave the house but I'm a little surprised she was allowed to leave for two days, get a complex surgery then come back. In Survivor at the very least people aren't allowed to leave to get surgery and come back. On Survivor she would have been forced to put off the surgery to stay in the game.

It's one thing for a contestant to mention they're Christian, and if memory serves, a bible is actually provided in the Big Brother house - the only reading material they're allowed, and I suppose it's done because the houseguests would kick up a fuss if any of them were that devout that they couldn't go without their scriptures for 90 days.

But it's entirely another thing to drag Jesus and god into every damn conversation and take up time in the bathroom babbling away in tongues, and beating the other houseguests over the head (figuratively) with all this "God is in this room right now, anywhere I am, he is" nonsense.

Dominique's babbling reminds me of a video I saw last year called "Jesus Camp" in which adults at an evangelical summer camp actively encourage little kids to get so caught up in all this stuff that they start babbling in tongues. Then later, when they consider the kids sufficiently indoctrinated they send them out to "witness" to people - after all, who's going to be mean to a kid who pushes a pamphlet on them and starts in on the Jesus stuff? (with me, said kid would be politely told I'm not interested - once. Then if he/she persisted I would treat said kid exactly as I'd treat an adult who wouldn't take "no" for an answer the first time.)

They couldn't really expect Christmas to stay in the game and not have surgery. She would have been crippled for life if she'd done that. I guess the reasoning is that since they're actually living in a TV studio and there is a medic available and not all of the competitions are physical, it's not like Survivor where the contestants are living rough and proper medical facilities aren't close by.

It didn't sound like either Spanish or Latin. It sounded like a salad of made up nonsense. That's what speaking in tongues is - it's just babbled nonsense words. It's not a real language. And right after that she kept on about Paul being a snake, and started in with her cryptic talks with the other houseguests - hinting, tapdancing all around what she meant, but not outright saying she thought Paul had betrayed her.

According to this article, he did. Either he didn't notice, or he's a liar. I honestly don't know which. The only thing I am sure of is that he's like a huge overgrown mommy's boy-child with outbursts of ADHD-like behavior.

I can't think how he even made it on the show. Mind you, I can't think how most of them made it on the show, since they're either stark-raving lunatics, absolutely hostile to everyone, or so boring I keep forgetting they're even there. It's actually a good thing Christmas is on crutches (yeah, I know this isn't a nice thing to say, given the medical issues she has and will have, but she brought it on herself by being careless) since now I can tell her and Elena apart.

It's bizarre how I couldn't stand Paul last time, but now I'm hoping he wins. His gameplay is much better so far than it was before. My other choices among the new people... Kevin, I guess. He's the only one who has impressed me with being willing to take chances without pissing everyone else off, and he hasn't been openly hostile or nasty to anyone.


So who does everyone want to win the Battle-back competition?

I absolutely don't want either Cody or Dominique back in the game. I loathe both of them. So either Cameron or Jillian would be fine with me.

The way Jillian went out was ridiculous. First put on the block by a random draw. Then put on the block as a pawn because she was on it before against somebody she could have beat. That person walks out and she goes up against another person she could beat. That person is safe, goes up against another person she could beat. That person is vetoed and finally she's up against someone she can't beat.

I only see a few of them as hostile, are they more hostile on the feeds than the broadcast?

Canadians don't get to watch the feeds, or at least they're not on any channel or site I can access, so I don't know what happens off the show. I just look at the nonverbal cues and tone of voice. Of course Cody and Jessica's hostility was obvious, and Josh alternates between crying for his mommy and being hostile to most of the others. I see Dominique as hostile as well (anyone who constantly throws their religion in other people's faces is committing a hostile act in my view).

Two blondes, basically. I'm blonde myself, so I'm not saying we all look alike, but to me they look so similar in skin and hair color and even their facial features aren't that different to me. So I've been having trouble differentiating between them at a quick glance. And of course it doesn't help that Elena is such a boring houseguest that I barely noticed her in the first place. With Alex, it's obvious that she's not a natural blonde, and she's much smaller, her voice is different, and she's usually wearing some kind of cat ear hair ornament.

I expect this will change, though. Typically in these shows I do have problems telling some contestants apart in the early weeks unless they do something that really makes me notice them. Actually, I've been having similar issues with Mark and Jason.

Granted, it doesn't help that I spend maybe a third of the time on the computer listening to the show rather than watching it. The computer doesn't face the TV, so I have to turn around to see it.

He reminds me a lot of Big Moose in the Archie comics. Large, dumb, and easy to get angry and/or physically aggressive if someone criticizes him... and he doesn't know how to handle the more aggressive "gurls."

That was kinda BS, picking two games with a major learning curve and letting the battling back player have a huge practice advantage.

They should have had a brand-new final challenge between the evictee and the house champion. This was obviously stacked in the evictee's favor.

Some background information that helps me to understand Josh is that he is 23, lives at home with his parents, is VERY close to his family, and has never been away from his parents for more than a week or two. He has cried about being homesick more times than I can count, and clearly has the behavior of someone closer to 13 than 23. He doesn't know how to operate with people outside of his family for any length of time. As I saw one poster on another board comment, "this is why you send your kids to summer camp, so they're not leaving home for the first time at 23."

It wasn't a great situation, but I can't feel too badly for Jillian because she made no effort at all to actually stay in the house. She didn't campaign, didn't ask for votes, didn't try to build any relationships outside of Alex, Ramses, Jason, and Josh. She could so easily have made a case against Christmas, but she didn't even try. I don't know what her intent was, but it came across as not caring at all about sticking around.

On the other hand, I do feel bad for Cameron, he seems to come so close in competitions but just can't pull it out. And he really wants to be there. I was really hoping he'd be the battle back winner.

Thank god Dominique isn't back. Her religious nuttery was even worse on the feeds. It was also weird how she would throw people under the bus without actually saying their names, just dancing around the topic. She perceived that as her being loyal and "having integrity," but others perceive it as you lying, hiding something, or not having any proof to back up your claims.

Not happy that Cody is back, and that Jessica got the temptation. I don't have any love for Cody and Jessica. I don't understand why so much of the fanbase was squarely against their egotistical and catty ways, but turned on a dime once Cody left and Jessica was "all alone." I see so many comments about how viewers pitied her and wanted to give her a chance. She put herself in that position! She does not deserve pity! She chose to stick by Cody even though he made horrible choices and alienated their entire alliance. Dumb.

The new HOH is Jessica, and the nominations are Josh and Ramses. Blech. I hope Josh goes home this week, but I do like Ramses, so I hope he doesn't end up getting screwed.

Regarding Dominique, I am glad she's not coming back. I realize that being religious should never disqualify anyone from being on these shows, but the excessive public "thankyoujesus" and shoving it at everyone is just obnoxious.

In a situation like that, it would be like the JW who you tell you're not interested, and when they won't shut up, you actually don't have the ability to kick them off your porch and threaten to call the cops if they won't leave. You can't even slam the door in their face because there's no door.

I have to wonder how much of these votes might possibly be rigged, to keep the "story" going. Otherwise, that's a hell of a lot of pity for a very unlikable houseguest.

It could have been worse, of course. Dominique could have been the tempted one, and we'd have been stuck with her for another month, possibly.

Why would you prefer Cody to Matt and Mark? I can't think of anything particularly obnoxious that Matt has done. Cody is all about obnoxious, except when he's snuggling with Jessica.

That struck me as odd, too. I guess the only way she can reconcile those is because engineering is all about applied math and the branch of physics that is non-theoretical. In other words, it involves practical things that are either right or wrong. There's no room for mysticism in engineering, but since she figures her god made everything, it's not a contradiction.

Cody is playing to win the game. Mark has made comments about only needing to get to jury and his game play is so back and forth with lots of crying. Matt is simply non-existent.
