Which Trek era would you want to live in? I listed the eras in the order we saw them: 23rd, 24th, 22nd, 32nd centuries, and put the Kelvin timeline last. From the available five eras we've seen of Trek, my go-to would be TNG through PIC. Imagine being on the Enterprise-D for 5 years, off to DS9 for 2 years, trapped on Voyager in the DQ for 7 years, transferred to the Cerritos, transferred to the Dauntless and later Voyager-A. Finally, imagine having joined Picard for his S1-2 adventures before being transferred to the Titan-A along with Seven.

DSC, after the Federation has recovered from The Burn. Lots of untapped potential. So, actually 3191+.

I like watching the 23rd, 24th, and now 25th Centuries. But to live in them? No. Too many times they were on the brink of war, and sometimes it actually happened.

Earth and the Federation are too much of an underdog in the 22nd Century for my comfort.

Plus the 32nd Century has the fanciest tech. I like reprogrammable matter and easy travel between quadrants.

Is Disco S3-5 that good? Something to look forward to. :D

Perhaps none of the above.

My favorite era was the TNG/DS9 era, but that would mean surviving the Borg and the Dominion just to live on into the dreary crapsack version of the future depicted in Picard.

Might be best to live in the first half of the 24th century after V'ger and the whale probe but before the Borg, Dominion, etc.

I mean, if you stay on Earth, you'd probably be fine.

I would like to slot my life into the years that end in early TNG. They seem the most peaceful as far as earth is concerned, and the culture is still something I can feel comfortable with.

Eras of Trek can be defined in the following ways

21st: Introduction (First contact)
22nd: Experimentation (NX-01)
23rd: Exploration (Go where no one has gone)
24th: Interaction (Developing relationships in the interstellar community)

I thought about this time but I felt as though the 32nd century was a bit too wild for me. I wonder if most people had access to all that fancy tech during this time? As long as the delithium was available, the travel options were open but it wasn't. I think I want comfort over adventure. Which is hard to admit, given I'm a Trek fan.

Compared with other fictional universes, "Star Trek" is more comfort than adventure. I don't think they have holodecks or replicators in the "Star Wars" galaxy, and the only entertainment or luxury available aboard Battlestar Galactica is recreational sex.
