It's time for the final LDS premiere to bow out: "Strange Energies" is my favourite of those that are left. I love the gonzo action teaser and Tendi's pursuit of Rutherford with "medical venom". God-Ransom's pretty funny, too - I still laugh when T'Ana drops the rock on him

I'm going to save Enterprise "Shockwave, Part II" as I thought it was a great episode, and a highlight of... oh damn, I was too slow. Okay I'll save Disco's "Red Directive" then, which wasn't actually bad either.

I honestly don't count SHORT TREKS as a series... more like supplementary material, like BSG's online webisodes of THE RESISTANCE and THE FACE OF THE ENEMY.



Therefore, I am saving "STORM FRONT". At least it was the beginning of the end of the Temporal Cold War.


"RUNAWAY" wins this.

My hope was Shockwave II would win.

A worthy winner! I can't stand "Runaway", I think it's the worst of all the Short Treks.

The 2020 winner was TNG "Descent, Part II", and the 2022 winner was ENT "Storm Front, Part I".

OK nevermind, "Visits To Earth's Past" I will run a little later, when I figure out what to do about season 2 of Picard in relation to all the two-parters already on the list, which we've been playing individually. I'm too tired on this Sunday morning to decide whether to collapse all the multi-episode arcs into a single elimination item each, or keep listing each episode individually.
