While reading through the "What other countries have you been too" thread I wondered:
Do you like living in the country/ staate you live in or is there another place you´d rather live in? Why?
Just thinking about that I really like New Zealand in many ways...the nature of course is great, but I also noticed, that the people seem to be much more relaxed and friendly and open for a talk just so, even you don´t know each other, very polite, children friendly, smiling, a good work- life balance.
One of the few things I do not like is that it is too far away from home and most other countries and that my loved ones are not here. And the rest are just smallish things, like the bread.
In my home country I find things less relaxed and less easy-going, which probably is the reason why "the burn out- syndrom" is, while an english word, german made and not really known somewhere else... at least thats what I heard...but than the burn-out people in other countries may just run under depression or some other term. Because in most countries people actually work more and have less vacation time... hmm, oh my, maybe my people are softies.. or stress themselves with to many smallish things and take things to serious... hmm, well thats another topic. *L*
I like living in my home country mainly because my family is there and I grew up there, so the places just hold memories, and I like the old buildings from the medival ages, but I would love to see a bit more NZ mentality over there.
However because of my loved ones living in Germany, I would not move to NZ... and while I always though I had no problem moving to a country nearer to my home, I think now, I most likely would like to stay somewhere near my loved ones.
What about you?
