What you'd like included

How about big fat naked men, with large floppy "man-boobs?"

Star Trek doesn't air lock people, that's other shows, right? I'll have to come up with some other form of punishment for mentioning that.

Let me get back with you.

As long as proper urinal conversation etiquette (or adjoining stall conversation etiquette) is observed, they I'll be OK with that. I mean, these people are supposed to be enlightened, so I hope their common-use restroom etiquette is equally enlightened. ;)

I was thinking while at the sinks.

I want to see lots of back-stabbing office politics where officers fight for promotions and throw one another under the proverbial bus in the process.

And Roddenberry's evolved sensibility of love instructors.

I'd like to see more of a "pioneering" spirit and an environment where space travel / exploration and the associated technology are still thought of as awe-inspiring and dangerous...and not as a ride cross town to the Walmart in a mini-van.

I'd like to go back to some of what Tenacity said about communications, putting the Captain and crew in isolated situations where they are the authority and making critical decisions without the safety net of headquarters looking over their shoulder.

I'd like to have the ship on the frontier, and not directly involved in "intergalactic politics," but on the fringe of that...hearing news and being a small part of the bigger picture. That way, there's great world-building and a sense of the greater universe, but not in the DS9 sense where the fate of the known galaxy and every major power is at stake in every episode, or in the ENT sense where it was one ship against an entire race or whatever.

Oh, and the bridge needs a cool viewer at the science station that casts blue light onto the science officer's face.

Sadly, I feel very strongly that the exact opposite of these two things will be the focus of the series. I have a feeling (especially with Admirals cast) that there will be a lot of interaction with headquarters and a lot of "how do we maneuver through this "cold war" situation with the Klingons/Romulans/BadGuys" kind of stuff, which bores me to tears.

That said, I will absolutely pay for CBSAA and I will absolutely watch every single first season episode, regardless of what direction they kick the series off in.

So the less action-y TNG episodes? Well, it could be worse. They could have failed to learn from the mistakes of ENT.

I'd like to see First Contact with Betazed and the Matriarchs telling the male captain, 'Piss off, we don't want to join a club where males are in charge!' ....

I thought Betazed first contact with the Federation was after TOS, not before.

New aliens. Not aliens-of-the-week, but new main aliens that discuss who we are today, circa 2017. Blow my mind with both topical and fantastical sci-fi.

More non-humanoids. More of the SCIENCE-ficiton.

Optimism. The more adult the better. Onward ye valiant Knights of the Federation.

With Nicholas Meyer involved, an admission from Starfleet that it is a military fleet.

Focus on science fiction.

I guess if they want me on the show I could find the time.

I would also like to see phaser's that shoot short bursts of energy instead of long stream's of it. Old school phaser's just don't work in action scene's
