STAR TREK ON THE BIG SCREEN

Excellent.

An SF club nearby had episodes of Doctor Who on a big screen in a lecture hall running all day a few years back, if I had been able to afford to give up a day's pay (I was a temp back then) I'd have loved to have gone along. For a Trek day I would have gladly sacrificed that day's pay ;)

Oh shoot, I was just about to make a thread on this!

I'm very excited for this! Three theaters in my area are listed for the screenings. November 13th can't come soon enough!

It's showing at a theatre less than a mile from my home. Walking distance. I think I'm going to try and see this.

At my local theater, they are charging 3.50 more for a ticket than other movies. Does anyone know why?

Is the $3.50 more the fandango surcharge, or have you checked with the actual theater.

It may cost more because of the limited run, one day, one showing.

It was on Fandango, but I checked other movies at similar times and they are $9.00. The Menagerie is the only one listed at $12.50.

That may be the reason. Normally it wouldn't matter, but right now I don't have a job so I usually only go to the $1.00 movie theater.

Try? TRY?

The nearest theater to me is 2 1/2 hours away. I think I will try and see this myself.

Wow, I don't know anyone who likes Trek enough to go with me to see it.

I guess it's time to find out how much my wife loves me! ;)

$12.50 for me too.

I say it's worth it to see a remastered episode of Trek on the big screen.

Jeez. No way would I spend $9 to see a 30+ year old show on the big screen, even if it's Trek.

TBonz,
I'm shocked this chance won't come again. HD Wide screen theatre quality sound....babies crying...cell phones ringing...some kid walking around shining a flashlight in your mug..hmmm...Well anyway I'll enjoy it for you. : )
