STAR TREK ON THE BIG SCREEN

No, the date is Tuesday, November 13 (the link to the list of theaters for some reason reads 10/13/2008) and it just happens to be my birthday and there are TWO theaters within 5 miles of me both showing it!!!!!

Ummm, I'm so there!

My wife agreed!

I got my tickets last night! I think this is going to be a blast. My wife has even agreed to come with me. This will be a treat, as she has never seen a Trek episode (I was aghast last night to learn that she has no idea who 'Scotty' is!).

I'm in the exact same boat! My fiance said she would go with me definately even though she has never seen ANYTHING Star Trek outside of the people dressed up at Dragon Con, lol. Are you going to show your wife any episodes of Star Trek to prepare he or to kind of get her in the mindset before going or are you going to let that be her first step into the Trek realm?

Nah, I think I'll just roll the dice and let this be her first Trek experiance. Hopefully, my fellow fans in the theater won't be jackasses!

My wife really wasn't a Scifi fan at all before knowing me... but I've managed to get her hooked on Stargate, Firefly and Doctor Who. Hopefully, Trek will be next!

I just bought my tickets for the show at the Fenway Theater in Boston. They're $12.50 here and I think it's worth it. Movie tickets cost $10.00 usually and this will be better than most movies! And, as mentioned above, it's all about the experience.

PS: Let's not forget the best reason - giant green orion slave vina!!!11!!1

this is just about the normal movie ticket price for me anyway. ah, city life. but they are probably charging that much because they know people will pay it.

:)

Well that and it's a one-night only event, so it's really no surprise they'd charge a little more.

If anyone is interested, I found a Fandango promotional code for buying the tickets online. The code is McDonald's. It will take $1.00 off the price. :bolian:
