Didn’t they say in the first episode that that wasn’t the first fissure to show up?

Maybe the Fissures are playing havoc with the space time continuum. I was also thinking of Yesterday's Enterprise and the whole Sela thing. I hope the reveal is good but this season needs a little kick in the pants in the final 3 episodes.

That is an easy 10.

Purple Enterprise battling clones of Tasha Yar. Mariner wonders if the carpet matches the hull. Tendi worries she cannot compete with T'lyn's huge melons. Spiner's return as purple Data's head.

Blink of an Eye, Inner Light, Carbon Creek, Time's Arrow, and Hard Time all referenced.

Best of the season, easy.

Given we’re seeing multiple realities bleeding in to each other, are we even sure that the crew that we’re seeing is even the same one as the previous seasons?

One thing I didn’t like is the transporter trouble. Licking, really? Couldn’t they quickly replicate an absorbent cloth, or get a DOT? Comedy can work without slapstick.
Yeah, I could also have done without the constant slobbering all over the console. They should have been able to clean it instantly, just tell the computer to beam away all of the slime!

Oh, and T'Lyn is hilarious. Just gonna put that out there.

I don't think the transporter is precise or energy-efficient enough to be used for such granular tasks.
But who hasn't experienced a spill at work before and quickly found something to sweep it up with?

Time could move differently in the Purple Universe, their 2280's could still be our 2260's. Sorta. Wibbly wobbly etc

Bingo. It is a Space Time Anomaly. And things could be different there, in addition to purple, it IS a different universe, for crying out loud.

While it is a worthwhile observation, I don't see anything there that is incongruous, necessarily.

Maybe the crew is just jaded by fissure duty it wasn't worth mentioning. We enter the episode post clean up. So, "any oh wow it's like the 2360s over there" happened earlier.

I would actually prefer that to be the case, since it is a bit unbelievable that everyone would still be serving together on the purple Ent-D by 2382 with no promotions. Of course, it's equally unbelievable that the crew continued to serve together on the Enterprise-E for the amount of time they did.

just tell the computer to beam away all of the slime!

If they could do that then they could just tell the computer to beam up the Away Team. The problem appears to be that with all touch inputs activated at once the transporter control system is overloaded, preventing any beaming. They theoretically could have run to another transporter room but they probably initially assumed (in a panic) that it would take less time to clean the console than get to another room and reestablish the lock from there.

I've found most of this season disappointingly forgettable, maybe partly because I had the expectation they'd step things up a bit since it's the last one. This was very good though! A lot funnier than the previous six and Purple Data was delightful. More T'Lyn is always welcome too.

Nobody is expecting the goofy Junior Liuetenant to spill his funky "Margarita-like" drink over the LCARs panel in the Transporter Room.

More like a Bloody Mary

There was a food slot in Kirk's Enterprise transporter room. Now there is no food or drink in the transporter room?

Nobody's mentioned the nod to "City on the Edge of Forever" with Tendi's version of stone knives and bearskins crystal Radio Shack set used to power Sara's head.

They did tease an unexpected legendary character though, someone who they thought wouldn't return so easily, so there must be someone else in the next 3 episodes...
The fate of Ensign Sito from "Lower Decks" the TNG episode is still available as low hanging fruit, and Mariner did know her from the Academy.
Not a bad episode but the transporter accident was rather silly. You expect something like that in Futurama, not Star Trek
Yeah that one took the episode down a point for me.
I'm hoping for a little more meat on the bone for the last 3 episodes, just to amp up this fissure arc
I'm just glad the show has had three good to great episodes in a row. Much better chance of closing strong.

I'm not good at ID-ing Alcoholic Beverages.
So I'll take your word for it.

It's a good policy given the blunder that we saw here.

Don't you mean Data?

Actually, just found out from listen to Mission Log podcast that these are real drinks!

Michelada Recipe - Spicy Mexican Beer and Tomato Juice Cocktail

I thought they were made up Star Trek drinks for when people on the Dos Cerriotis went on Away Missions.

Don't you mean Data?
D'oh! Yes. Thank you.
