Actually, the problem with Discovery for seasons 3 & 4 is that they didn't have enough story to fill their number of episodes. That became evident as we got more than a few episodes into the season.So, it looks to me like they really will have enough time to tell the story they wanted to.
Agreed. It was pretty obvious that Discovery was wearing down to a halt. It just wasn't Paramount's strongest Trek series. Combine that with the financial stuff and it makes sense to cut it.I predicted that ST: DISCO would be five seasons over seven years. I suspect that the decision to conclude it was based on multiple reasons, not just financial, but also a sense that the production was ready to move on to other projects.
