Anybody Ever Notice...?

Anyone ever notice these two things:

SFS: There is a burn mark on the warp nacelle?

Generations: THE EXACT SAME BIRD OF PREY DESTRUCTION SCENE AS IN TUC! I said something about that when I saw it in the theatres. They got away with it on me from the Drydock scenes until yesterday when I viewed TWOK with both commentaries on. I can understand that they did that there, but its so blatant for me in Generations.

That use of stock footage was lame.

Lots of people have no problem with that, but I think it is godawful. You don't reuse the climax of one movie for the semi-climax of the next (unless you flip the shot, matte it into a viewscreen and colorcorrect the hell out of it at the very least.)

Even if they did all that, I'd recognize it. I have eagle-eyes for such things.

You're right though...the issue is made worse by the WAY they reused the footage in this case. I'm pretty sure (if memory serves) I made an audible groan when I saw it on opening day.
