Kurtzman intentionally killed Legacy?

Yeah, I suppose the series tend to be vague about why exactly Earth's society is so much better put together than ours are right now. But the idea that a news service well-regarded enough to be able to convince Picard to do an interview would act like this is pretty depressing.
You don't have to work and basic needs are all catered for.

How that would change a society is difficult to predict, and Star Trek has never really been particularly interested in exploring that subject, except in Picard's lofty rhetoric to Lily Sloane.

One thing that is vaguely hinted at in PIC, but not really spelled out, is that the combination of the Romulan catastrophe, the Utopia Planitia attack and the synth ban has materially affected Federation citizens in some way.

Perhaps it goes further back and the Dominion War had a big impact on the civilian populations? At the very least we know Betazed was occupied. Home Front/Paradise Lost shows that Earth's population is just as susceptible to panic and manipulation as we are today.

That doesn't seem to back up what you claimed.

This "moderator" had no problem with a guy openly admitting to arguing just to argue btw.

It turns out that posting the same way for years is an infraction if you do it against Kurtzman Trek.

A complete clown show with no room for opposite opinions.

Hello everyone

Kurtzman is fantastic, his hit TV show "STAR TREK DISCOVERY" which shattered viewing figures should be worshipped. No more proof that TREKBBS.COM where the WORLD CHANGING FINALE of "STAR TREK DISCOVERY" got 30 posts of pages from about 20 users.

Surely an indicator of "changing the franchise for the better" from a guy who "understands the youth".

In lieu of getting a formal warning for arguing with a moderator decision in thread, you're getting a reply ban. Keep up the good work.

Picard definitely seemed asshole-ish at least. He was pushy and presumptive and arrogant, and of course...hubristic.

Plus he owns a dog with clipped ears! ;)
(Yes, he could have rescued it from somewhere. This is a joke, to be clear.)
