Kurtzman intentionally killed Legacy?

Of course "Romulan sun" doesnt necessarily mean the star of the Romulus system especially as this is a term being used by a very unreliable source. The journalist was shown to not be the most knowledgable or moral.
She'd have to be a really bad reporter to screw up something like that, as something like that would be a huge historical event that only happened fifteen years earlier. It'd be the equivalent of someone in 2016 talking about the airplanes crashing into Big Ben on 9/11.

If you feel that someone is arguing in bad faith, and your method for dealing with them is to put them on Ignore, then you're right to do so. Just do it and move on.
I have done, I just thought trolling people and purposefully looking for arguments like that was against the rules.

I mean she was. She was given one condition for the interview and violated it. Had very little knowledge of history and was a little bit racist against Romulans. I can imagine her not caring about getting the exact system correct since all stars in Romulan space are just Romulan stars to her. And I can see him not going out of his way to correct her as he was trying to make his points and remain calm until he wasnt. She was a bad reporter and probably stopped being a reporter soon after.

Bad reporters tend to get high ratings.

Trolling
It's only a violation of the rules if that was what was actually happening.
You purposefully spend time arguing with me about a scene and storyline you actually haven't watched or seen to push an agenda to waste time. A sad and pathetic attempt at trolling - but this is okay according to the staff because...reasons?

So much for all your ballyhoo about using Ignore. I've lost my patience with every thread you participate in becoming all about your grievances with other posters. Warning for Trolling, send any comments about this via PM. And learn to play better with others.

I think they straight up named it as TNG Season 8 in the production but that could be an urban legend.
No it was the reverse, Terry said multiple times not to go in expecting TNG Season 8
This is why there has been negativity in the fanbase, it has felt like people were just straight up ignored. The petitions and demand was more than SNW, the social media buzz was very positive even amongst the YTers who peddle negativity.
Kurtzman said in an interview last year that Paramount isn't current greenlighting any new projects because they're trying to sell. Academy and S31 were greenlit before that.
SFA smacks of them seeing Wednesday and running with that.
SFA was announced before Wednesday even aired
I will direct you to comments from Kurtzman about Starfleet Academy not being focused on "the good days of the Federation" because you need to relate the youth of today where everything is shit and doomer.
He also said in the same interview that it will be light heated and optimistic.

Stories about dragons are not there to tell me dragons exist. They're there to show me they can be defeated.

Star Trek has never turned a blind eye to the darkness of humanity but how to make peace with the darker aspects of our nature, and the dangers our world brings.

It's not safe but it is rewarding to go on the journey.

I disagree with this one, nowhere was he an asshole.

Grumpy at starfleet sure, full of himself when he goes to Command sure, but not an asshole.

He ruined Raffi’s relationship with her Starfleet friend, and clapped about it. That’s being an asshole.

That's part of the reason I hated the bad reporter, as I think a society as healthy as the Federation would require a much better quality of news.
Maybe? Or maybe they trust their population to make up their own minds and do the research on their own, understanding that the ability to participate in the government process is to be well informed, even on opinions that we find disagreeable.

From the film "The American President":
America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours.

Lines up pretty well with Picard's comment about the first chain in speech.

Yeah, I suppose the series tend to be vague about why exactly Earth's society is so much better put together than ours are right now. But the idea that a news service well-regarded enough to be able to convince Picard to do an interview would act like this is pretty depressing.

Why?

People say "depressing" over interesting things. It's a different point of view with zero indication it's representative of any segment of the population beyond their viewership. If we think media output is high now to try and keep track of now factor in a while Federation.

When? Where?
