Worst Episode of VOY Season Six Part One

While far from consistent with a notorious pattern especially in the middle stretch of the season to alternate good episode/weak episode back and forth, I still overall enjoyed this season.

Fair Haven and Spirit Folk should run away with this. I mean, a sequal to one of the worst episodes ever? Seriously?

I tossed in Riddles for good measure, but I think the top 2 should be clear.

I thought this season started off pretty well and had a few good ones near the end, but most of the middle I didn't care for. I could have easily picked six or seven, but the three I ultimately voted for were:

Fair Haven
Tsunkatse
Fury

Alice- horrible tribute to Stephen King's "Christine".

Pathfinder- I freakin' hate Barclay.

Ashes to Ashes- Another dead end story for Harry. Boring!

I liked "Fury", it actually made a lack luster former character interesting. Plus, it's the "Dark Phoenix" follow up too "Coldfire".

Well, Alice because the movie Christine was better done! Tom Paris was never a very well written or acted character so a Paris emo wallow just drags.

Equinox pt. 2 because it's not just stupid but nasty. Everything in the so called drama of Janeway "torturing" that guy hinged on the viewer's total indifference to the murder of the subspace creatures.

Survival Instinct because Seven is the Borg Queen! was stupid (so stupid they made some fun of it in Muse!) Plus the one time only retcon on the Borg Collective was painfully obvious. Plus the human characters were total feebs.

PS Barge of the Dead was ignorant Klingon drivel done with simpleminded magic and character assassination (Janeway lets Torres play with near-death experiences so she can save her mother from Klingon hell?) Virtuoso was another crazy premise EMH episode---what does it mean to say a hologram is a singer when he doesn't even breathe! Live Fast and Prosper was an unfunny comedy---Fair Haven and Spirit Folk may get stick but they were much funnier. People just don't seem to get that they were comedies.

I agree, especially "Spirit Folk". The Doctor was classic vaudville in it.

I could really only come up with one - Tsunkatse - they neutered the Hirogen.

What was he like 4 feet tall?

All the others were pretty good. I even liked Fair Haven. I thought it was finally time for Janeway to get some action

So many freaking contenders this season. Ugh, hard to pick just three.

Virtuoso, for being both dull and annoying.
Spirit Folk, for being unnecessary, even though I kinda liked Fair Haven.
Fury, for completely destroying one of my favourite characters. The episode of VOY that angers me like no other.

Barge of the Dead: Torres and her emotional state again...yay. If they had actually included Fek'Lar (name drops don't count), I'd have given the episode a pass.

Fair Haven: Quaint Irish ways...ahhhh...if this crew is lost in space in constant danger, you'd never know.

Spirit Folk: Holograms become too aware and Janeway's Irish beau files rape charges.

Lots of choices this season... I chose Fair Haven (I felt Spirit Folk was better), Haunting of Deck 12, and Alice (Ughh... just so stupid and boring).

"Pathfinder", "Fair Haven" and "Spirit Folk". Pathfinder was ok..but it was a little bit boring at times. I hated the whole Fair Haven storyline with a passion! And I couldn't stand that Micheal character either! Yes he was handsome but he should have kept his wife! And Spirit Folk was just a pointless continuation to Fair Haven. At first, I thought those two episodes were exactly the same thing.. These all stunk.

Loved: Tinker, Tenor, Doctor Spy, Dragon's Teeth, Fury, and Barge of the Dead.

I thought 'Pathfinder' was one of the best of the season, if not the entire series. I guess we're wired differently or something...

(While it is great to see Kes back again, the plot for this episode is weak, poorly structured and confusing. It is also against the basic philosophy of Trek to have a crew member, especially a loving, dedicated one such as Kes, return hell-bent on revenge and murder.)
