I vote for Yesterday's Enterprise. Good as it may be, BOBW I is such a good episode with such a cliffhanger, and it is also such a classic that it feels illegal not to make it win given the oppurtunity. It's not rare to consider it the best TNG episode! While I disagree, I much prefer it over Yesterday's Enterprise. So, BOBW I wins!
Alas I was hoping for a last minute plot twist. A brilliant if predictable winner.
I could have done a last minute plot twist, but I like BOBW too much and I also wanted to be the one to decide the winner. Lol
I would have voted Yesrday's Enterprise but they're both top tier episodes.
I really was saying it as levity, but I am genuinely surprised that it had ended up in a tie.
I remember right before the TNG finale first aired, there was a poll and "Viewer's Choice" of top 5 episodes that were aired. (This was the week before the finale, if I remember right.)
"The Inner Light" and "Relics" were there (I forget which was #4 and #5), and "Yesterday's Enterprise" was #3. "The Best of Both Worlds" two-parter was #2 and #1.
So I'm not surprised by this result, or that neither of them got a vote until it was head to head.
