Epic isn't the opposite of epic.

I mean, the opposite of "Hot Fire" isn't "Hot Ice."

Epic is a description of magnitude, and thus applies even to opposites. Very hot and Very cold for example would be opposites using the same word to describe their magnitude. Exceedingly Large (as in: my awesomeness) and exceedingly small (as in: your penis) are another couple. Now you try!

I will also add that most objects do not have opposites in the way you use them. Ice is not an opposite of fire any more than banana or porcupine is.
