Games that you feel were a little overrated and over hyped

The way Cyberpunk reviews were handled pre release absolutely got me to back off at the last minute. There was an embargo and the reviews felt as packaged as the gameplay videos YouTubers were given to show (they weren’t allowed to show anything else). I had it in my cart ready to purchase but there was so much telling me I was being manipulated that I waited.

Wound up buying it for about 20 dollars when the shit hit the fan but not playing it until later. Worked out well for me but yeah too many big game releases have been filled with BS reviews and too many small and AA studio releases have been overlooked.

I waited years after that came out to get it dirt cheap. I wasn't even interested but when it was as cheap as possible I got it

Cyberpunk for me, I bought it and was done with it after a couple of hours because of the bugs and the gameplay which made me nauseous

It shows that sometimes it's much wiser to wait rather than to get the games upon release. In this case, it's never been more true when one of the buggiest games has had its bugs ironed out.

On the other hand, I've been late to the party with Batman Arkham Knight, and honestly I've had to shelve it due to how buggy it is, even now. It constantly crashes and it's very inconsistent and the game doesn't seem to be getting anymore patches. And looking around, it's a very common issue.

Mafia 3 was very buggy whe released, but most of the bugs seemed to be with the PC version.

It's another game that I waited for years till it was dirt cheap. It is still a little buggy.
