What should Peter Jackson do next?

After he is finished with his 18-movie Hobbit series, what would you like to see Peter Jackson do next? Let's assume that he is going to be re-making an older movie or adapting another work of literature to the big screen. What book/movie/comic/whatever do you think would most benefit from his style of film-making?

Personally, I would absolutely love it if he attempted to re-make "The Neverending Story." It's one of my favorite childhood movies, but it's also a story that I think has a lot of potential to be redone, especially with modern technology.

Ooo, I like that idea.

Is he still going to be doing a second Tintin movie?

Spielberg said a few months ago that Jackson will shoot the Tintin sequel next after he's done with The Hobbit. Jackson is still developing the Temeraire series, too, for either movies or television.

He could turn the book into eleven movies, which would, in a way, explain the title.

I read years ago that Peter Jackson is fascinated by World War I, and after watching Warhorse last week on DVD I would love to see PJ put together a really epic WWI movie. Warhorse was interesting, but not the epic it could have been.

I think Peter could do an amazing adaptation of Dune, although I have trouble believing that anyone could ever top Ian McNeice as the Baron.

Didn't he buy the rights to some Patrick O'Brian-with-dragons series a while back? That sounded promising.

So I guess this Hobbit 3 means at least a year's delay for Tintin...

Nobody is going to want to touch Oz ever again if Oz: The Great and Powerful is as bad as the trailer suggests.

Surely there's some random paragraph or sentence fragment that he can expand into a new post-LoTR Middle Earth trilogy?

He could always do a sequel trilogy based on Tolkien's unfinished (and abandoned) The New Shadow, set about 100 years after LOTR. :ouch:

Peter Jackson's Babylon 5, with one million fully-rendered Shadow vessels in one of the climactic battles and John Rhys-Davies as Michael Garibaldi.

Doesn't he own one of Sylvester McCoy's costumes from that popular sci-fi show he used to be in?

Peter Jackson's Doctor Who. You know you want it.
