Was Picard the reason troi wore the stupid bunny suits?

Yes, damn him! He should have kept her in a mini skirt like in Encounter at Farpoint!

Well, he did allow her the leeway to "dress down", in an attempt to make her patients feel more at ease. Though personally seeing every delightful curve of that body wouldn't set me at ease, more the opposite to be perfectly truthful. Just like I like seeing my doctor in scrubs or a button up shirt and tie like my family doctor, I'd probably be more at ease seeing my counselor either in her uniform, proving she graduated from somewhere, or in something a little less titillating.

And just because I like beating dead horses, I'll repeat: Elizabeth Dehner set the precedent way back in WNMHGB for the ship's shrink being in uniform.

That's the way I've always felt. Wearing a standard uniform shows that she's a professional.

But then again, IMHO, she looked even more beautiful in the uniform, as it left room for sublety. :techman:

Exactly how I feel. In silly getups like that, I really wouldn't feel like I'm talking to a medical professional of any sort. To say nothing of the fact that those outfits were just about always horrendously stupid-looking at best.

I think they should have left her in it. For those who don't remember how it looked....

Sorry, but that beats her cat suits any day. :techman:

Picard: "Frightful bother Councilor Troi, but I do seem to have dropped my pencil. Do be a dear and ..."

Deanna: "Of course sir."

Entire bridge: "Oh ahhhhhh."

I don't remember a part in the series where they ever explained why she wore what she wore, but Picard did allow her some breathing room with what she wore (See Chain of Command )

But what she wore imo wasn't much more different then what Seven of Nine or Kes wore most of the time..... or that Vulcan on ST:Enterprise (excuse my ignorance, still gotta get time to go through that series, so I don't know/remember much of that series at this time)

Who still uses pencils in that time era? :vulcan:

Final scene of EaF Tasha is wearing a mini, but she's back at her station so you don't get too good a look at her.

If they had just changed the hairstyle (kill the headband) it would have been much less of the "cosmic cheerleader" look. The mini works for her, definitely...

Yes, I'd rather her wear the....Starfleet uniform...for...professional reasons. *cough*

The difference here is that Seven and Kes were civilians and T'Pol was an exchange officer.
