("Rascals" has some really off ideas, but all the Guinan/Ro scenes are worth watching. The actresses had about the same level of chemistry as well from what I recall. As with young Guinan and young Ro, Young Picard was played wonderfully as well.)

I would argue that if it has been an episode of a kid's show, it would be great. Unfortunately, the neuroscience of this episode is terrible.

TNG had done better with real science in previous seasons; season 5 onward really shift toward character drama if not outright soap opera, and playing faster and looser with science at times. It takes a lot to roll with some of the episodes but there's (usually) a payoff.

Actually I don't remember any bad Guinan episode because she was one of my favorite TNG characters.
If I had to pick one it would probably be one of the Picard episodes.

 

[Sakonna]

"Monsters" was also the 2022 winner of this game. I've gotta say, I quite like that one! "Mercy" is the one in that arc that just doesn't do it for me. I can't get over the incoherence of the "Guinan and Picard in FBI custody" plot.
