Game The Most Disliked Episode/Movie Directed By Jonathan Frakes, 2025 Edition

I really thought killing Airiam was a mistake. If nothing else, we needed more non-regular-humans among that bridge crew!

I can't believe I've let my beloved "Sub Rosa" linger this long. I seriously need to rewatch that one again, it's been too long, though of course I have already seen it approximately three billion times.

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
TNG Season 7: "Attached"
DS9 Season 3: "The Search, Part II"
DS9 Season 3: "Meridian"
VOY Season 2: "Projections"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 1: "Despite Yourself"
DIS Season 3: "People Of Earth"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
DIS Season 4: "Stormy Weather"
DIS Season 5: "Lagrange Point"
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

Alot of my favorites are already saved. Frakes is one if the best directors in the franchise.

Saving "PROJECTIONS".

Well directed, well acted, well scripted.

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"

A possible influence for "Sense8",

TNG Season 7: "Attached"

is not the worst of season 7 or of TNG by any measure.

But per her one line in that teaser, like she really didn't know?

Well, maybe not, all we do know is that the Naked Now cooties make 'em sound like chipmunks with bronchial infections!

What's left:
TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
DS9 Season 3: "The Search, Part II"
DS9 Season 3: "Meridian"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 1: "Despite Yourself"
DIS Season 3: "People Of Earth"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
DIS Season 4: "Stormy Weather"
DIS Season 5: "Lagrange Point"
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

DIS Season 5: "Lagrange Point" I love watching Book flirt with the Breen solider.

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
DS9 Season 3: "The Search, Part II"
DS9 Season 3: "Meridian"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 1: "Despite Yourself"

DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
DIS Season 4: "Stormy Weather"
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

I will save Disco's "Despite Yourself", as it took the series in a mad new direction and it really needed that, considering how directionless season 1 had been up to that point. Also I really enjoyed it.

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
DS9 Season 3: "The Search, Part II"
DS9 Season 3: "Meridian"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 3: "People Of Earth"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
DIS Season 4: "Stormy Weather"
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

Saving "THE SEARCH, PART II".

We get some great scenes of Odo finally finding his people... only to discover they ARE the Founders.

And having Garak in an episode is always a good idea. (Even if he wasn't real.)

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
DS9 Season 3: "Meridian"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 3: "People Of Earth"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
DIS Season 4: "Stormy Weather"
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

The concept of the “inter dimensional phasing planet” in DS9 Season 3 “Meridian” is really cool.

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 3: "People Of Earth"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
DIS Season 4: "Stormy Weather"
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

Saving Stormy Weather. The story is simple, but Frakes puts a lot into this episode. I think Season 4 had strong episodes, though most were dull. This is beautiful visually, and Michael is strong here.

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
DS9 Season 3: "Meridian"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 3: "People Of Earth"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

I assumed I would have to be the one to save Stormy Weather! I dunno how, but I got the impression that people really weren't keen on it. Okay then, I will save People of Earth, as it was the third good episode in a row and it gave me hope that season 3 would be the year that Disco became a great Trek series.

TNG Season 6: "The Quality Of Life"
DS9 Season 3: "Meridian"
VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
VOY Season 2: "Prototype"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."
PIC Season 1: "Absolute Candor"

Saving Absolute Candor. This episode suffers from a lot of what was wrong with Season one: lots of short, underdeveloped stories. However, there are some good ideas, and Frakes helped to make the characters more compelling.

VOY Season 2: "Parturition"
DIS Season 3: "The Sanctuary"
DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."

I'm going to save "The Sanctuary", because it's not There Is A Tide... I mean, I didn't hate it. But I think it probably did deserve to linger in this particular list while everything around it got saved.

DIS Season 3: "There Is A Tide..."

Unless the tide is high and we're movin' on, so glad that no TNG episode made it as the worst..

:guffaw:

I'm surprised that "Sub Rosa" not only got saved, but got saved fairly early. It is, after all, your basic "bodice-ripper."

I would have saved it, partly because it's (IMHO) objectively not the worst of the list, but because some of the review videos give it a whole new life - like this one:
