The absolute worst captain in Star Trek

Mr Silver

Commodore
Newbie
Just like the other thread, but this time who do you think is the worst captain in all of Star Trek?

I'm going to have to say that Ronald Tracey was a terrible captain. Apart from violating the prime directive and abandoning his crew in order to save his own life, he then went on to fight a war and supplied his side with phasers.

Ronald Tracey appeared in TOS "The Omega Glory".

I can see why Janeway might be seen as the worst of the worst, but you have to take her incredible success into account as well. She essentially defied the odds and got the majority of her crew back home, whilst dealing the Borg a crippling blow.

of regulars, it's Jonathan Archer. From his utter lack of command presence, to his petulance and immaturity when it came to the Vulcans, to the way he seems to have gotten his position through nepotism rather than qualifications, to his bumbling style, I really have no idea where they thought they were going with this character but it wasn't working.

Yeah, seriously. I don't care what you think of Janeway, compared to Tracey she's a total saint.
