I originally gave this episode a 5, but I just rewatched it tonight and I liked it a whole lot more the second time. I still think Dal was annoying and a bit of a egotist, but I really am trying to focus on the other characters, and Rok might be the best written character at this point. The scene where they discover the food replicator and she orders that slop because it's the only dish she has ever known was almost tragic in a way. Then the next scene she was visiting Gwyn and it's almost like those two scenes made you really understand and feel for her.

I wonder what the Protostar can't do. I really hope we get into some kind of backstory with the ship itself, like who built it, what was it doing in this part of the Galaxy (I'm thinking Delta Quadrant since you saw the Kazon in episode 1). I mean it can build shuttle crafts (Which probably answered the Voyager question after all these years) and then you got the Mega Warp we saw at the end of the last episode. The Deviner wants it so it has to be important. I hope we get into some of the reasons why.

Hmm. Definitely a kids' show. Along the lines of most of the rejected format pitches when TAS was in development. But on the other hand, ST has now grown to the point where unlike then, now there is room for a kids' show.

(Alluding to what is arguably one of the finest kids' shows ever made, one that even for an adult audience stands up to 90% of what's on primetime) A kids' show with a holographic Janeway as its "Lady Aberlin." And Dal R'El as "King Friday XIII."
