It’s incredible how tastes can differ! Last week’s made me positively giddy, although that may have been my huge affection for DS9.

DS9 is my favorite series too, but I need more than nostalgia. The character beats were mediocre and could have just as easily been in an episode with no DS9. Ultimately the setting felt like window dressing, not integral to the story.

Once the abandoned ships where found, I was kinda hoping for a 'oh shit' moment when Peanut Hamper discovers the Aerisolans are remaments of a dangerous unseen race (like Iconians et cetera).

This one struggled to keep my attention.

I didn't care for Peanut Hamper the first time around and even less this time.

Probably my least favorite LD's episode.

I was not a big fan of this one.

I do not care about Peanut Hamper. And that Bird Man sure figured out how to operate that ship (by himself) awfully fast.

My 6 was generous.

Kind of liked how the Trek tenet of redemption got turned on it's head, as Peanut Hamper was irredeemable... don't get the hate for this episode, I personally liked the detour and getting mildly surprised at the twist...

It's like DS9. You either buy the deconstruction of a core Trek fundamental or you are ticked off they betrayed said fundamental.

I think part of it is also the fact Peanut Hamper's redemption was already ridiculous enough to make a decent episode.

Peanut Hamper being put with malfunctioning AI is, of course, due to the Federation's racism against nonorganic beings.

I wonder if Data endorsed her for Starfleet or the Doctor. There's not many other officers I could see who would vouch for her.

Not at all. I typically enjoy episodes, movies, or series that buck the Trek norm.

That is assuming they hold my interest and entertain me.

This simply didn’t. It was grating and irrelevant.
