We got another shot of that MSD Mike Okuda created for Season 2. But I don't remember when in the episode I saw it, guess I'll have to rewatch the episode, what a shame :nyah:

I believe this is the first time where we learned that deck 1 is not always the location of a bridge. The California-class has "penthouse"-type crew quarters on that deck. A single room can house four bunks.
There are multiple windows on Deck 1 on the ship's model

It was ok. Nothing really special IMO. Felt pretty standard to me. The cold open was a nice nod to the TNG ep "Masks". It was neat to see the engineers constantly trying to engineer a solution for everything. I thought it was a bit dumb that Mariner, Boimler and co did not think to share the quarters and basically gave it up for nothing. he holodeck scene with the bank robbery was funny, probably the highlight of the ep for me.

And was the alien leader of Dove with the 3 arms, an alien from TAS? She looked familiar.

M'Ress certainly had a long tail, but T'Ana might be a different breed (think Manx-ish). Still, I'd bet it's an interesting story.
You can see T'Ana's tail in the scene, and some of the scenes around it, where she's saying she lost it, so I do think it used to be longer.

Probably my least favorite episode of the season. It wasn't bad, but it felt like a Season 1 episode and I feel like they are forgetting some of Season 2's development. Also, I want to see them get to DS9 and I'm starting to lose a little patience.

Are the Maquis back? They were pretty much all wiped out because of the Dominion so for Mariner to name drop them makes me wonder if they rebuilt.

The bridge isn't the only thing on deck 1.
Looking at USS Voyager for example, deck 1 contains the bridge, the captains ready room, the conference room, and there is also a corridor leading out of the captains ready room too towards the back (which also contains several escape pods).

Similar thing applies to Enterprise-D and a lot of other ships in the 24th century... and even on the NX-01 too.

Deck 1 of the Cerritos also has other windows there so, it doesn't only contain the Bridge.

That's episode 6 so 2 more weeks to go.

It was fine this week. Similar mix of cute/charming to the last few weeks. Still not really laugh-out-loud funny for me. But this is the second week in a row that the show has felt kinda in a rut to me, like it's doing stories which could have easily been from Seasons 1 or 2.

Look, I get it. This is a half-hour episodic comedy show. Not every episode is going to be big/bold. Not every episode is going to give us deep character insight. Not every episode is going to buck expectations. But this just felt paint by numbers to me, so insubstantial that even immediately after watching it I was left with little real impression.

This episode was fun, as usual, and seemingly standalone, a one shot story. I enjoyed it, though it didn't draw as many laughs as previous episodes. Still, all around, a lot of fun.

I liked all the location stuff, except a smaller root bin for hydroponics would make more quarters space. The A and B plots were pretty good. Who wouldn't like a few minutes in an orgasmatron. lol

What was that pig-alien on the spa ship? I swear I've seen it before somewhere.
I want to say that they were in the very first episode. The species that Mariner was smuggling farming equipment to and kept the spider cow for milk. I'm not a place to confirm that at the moment however.

It was an enjoyable episode but I’m very tired today, so I’m sure I missed some stuff. Accordingly, I won’t place a vote this time, I might if I’ll rewatch it.

One odd thing jumps out: are there quarters on deck 1?!

Evidently there was a bold Boimler reference which I missed. Maybe this is an episode I rewatch.

This was my second favorite of the season after episode 1. Episode 2 was my least favorite. Episodes 3.2-3.4 have been fine and typical Lower Decks, but not really exceptional or anything that stands out. Not saying it has to, just noting my thoughts. The show is fun and I enjoy it. That's all it needs to be for me.
