Spock Character Thread

This is a younger Spock being more on his human side. Please take a rest with this. He is not supposed to be TOS Spock yet. It's a journey he takes.

I know that many see it this way because they are autistic. Spock is not autistic, but yet he is because Gene Roddenberry conceived of him this way. I suspect Gene was autisitic is some ways as well. I am a woman and I fully integrate my "logic" and "emotion." Young men do not. Spock is the representation of these young men. Spock has not done his Jungian shadow work. He has not faced or killed his inner dragon which would make him a king. (See the Lion King). He claims he has never sought command. This is why. He is still a knight, going about doing brave deeds and living a manly life among men. Spock is scared of his own shadow. In order to sublimate this fear and avoid the work of slaying that dragon he fully embraces Vulcan "logic." I totally believe that Vulcan mental intimacy consists of sharing extremely complex mathematical formulas or expressions of logic theorems. No wonder he finds Christine Chapel's mind to be "chaotic." Autistic people by their own admission, would love a life shared with another one such as themselves where they could just calculate stuff. It's a world of complete self absorption. This is Spock's mind in TOS.
His mother Amanda has too. She expresses love for her husband which he dismisses as of no consequence. She tolerates this saying "Logic is a better way." Spock has been enormously emotionally damaged by his mother's withdrawal in favor of theorems and mathematical equations. I am convinced Sarek insisted that she withdraw in favor of a completely Vulcan upbringing.
Skilled writers get this about Spock. They do not see him as a superior being but as a damaged little boy. Many sci fi and Star Trek fans are autistic. They are Spock's fan boys and fan girls. They need to believe in him and that his way is "the better way" because it's THEIR way. They dream of becoming AI machine people like Klaus Schwab wants to be. Then they can get rid of having to deal with themselves and just be perfect. Notice how Spock wants to go back to Data's innocence and STILL refuses to finally grow up.
Christine Chapel or other human women scare him to death, fill him with inadequacy, and emasculate him. Spock cannot grow up and even in his old age he envy's Data and his machine life. How patheic Spock is to me! I think Chapel finally reached this conclusion too. Spock is a failed hero's journey. The hero is supposed to slay the dragon and marry the princess.

Interesting thoughts! I've often thought many people in fandom are on the spectrum.
