Season 4 Blu-ray Available for Pre-Order on Amazon.com

I cancelled my pre-order over a week ago once it became clear it likely wasn't going to see a release on December 19. As it is, looking over the Amazon page for this release is sus as hell. A running time of close to an hour and a half? Ten episodes of 25-30 minutes each would have a combined running time much longer.
Says 12 hours for me on Amazon Canada. Which is also wrong, Unless there's 7 hours of bonus features lol

Huh, looks like it's been updated since the last time I was looking at it a few days ago. Though I'm guessing the December 31 2024 release date is just a placeholder?

The entries on amazon.com and .ca seem to be continually updated. On .com the corrected they run time and in both entries they added "Dubbed:‏ English, German". Maybe they will add more languages so the north american and international Discs for season 4 will be identical again.

After the north american exclusive MOD release of season 3 almost a year ago now there finally is an announcement for an european release. In Germany season 3 on blu-ray will arrive on March 7th. This release is listed to have also english, italian, french and spanish audio options.

Hopefully it will come with a slipcover.... Now, it's the only blu-ray release without one, and I can't deal with that ;)

I got an email back about my pre-order on Amazon and it's looking like April 17th!

Barring more delays, of course of course.

~ I wonder if the contents will be any different from the MOD release? I couldn't wait for a European release, and persuaded my sister to get me S3 from the US for Xmas, but the only extra that I can see is the "Lower Decktionary: Season 3". Memory Alpha has quite a few Special Features listed though - maybe I've managed to overlook them somehow?

My guess is the disc menus and individual episode encodes will be different, but the overall content the same (plus additional language tracks and subtitles).

Oh, and, to add some much needed clarifications; this is American Amazon and I have pre-ordered it months ago, so I have no idea if it's on the website or app proper.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect it on that date. April 17 is a Wednesday. In North America, DVDs and Blu-rays are almost always released on Tuesdays. The rare exceptions to that rule are usually releases of Mega Popular movies.

The german rating organization FSK already checked the contents of the European release of season 3 and published that info on their homepage:
  • Commentary (Ep. 1)
  • Commentary (Ep. 6)
  • Commentary (Ep. 7)
  • Commentary (Ep. 8)
  • Commentary (Ep. 10)
  • Docking at DS9 (12:19)
  • Lower Decktionary S03 (33:06)
That should be the same bonus contents that are on the US MOD release. I don't think the Animatics and Easter Eggs mentioned on Memory Alpha are on the discs. At least such bonus was never mentioned in any preview or review I read about the release. (Probably a copy & pase error on Memory Alpha.)

Thanks @MFB :bolian: I'm going to have to pop those discs in again and see what I can find (I'm pretty sure that only disc 2 had a "Special Features" section in the menu and the only thing in it was the Lower Decktionary, but the cover slip definitely lists the other bonus contents).

I am pretty sure you will find the "Docking at DS9" feature by navigating to episode 6. Like commentaries other bonus that refers to a special episode are often selectable in the menu near the episode selection.

~ Ah, thank you! Yes, that's exactly where it is (all the commentaries were there, too). I'm never normally bothered about special features & extras on DVDs/BRs and just pop the disc in and select "play all", but Lower Decks is an exception - I want to see/hear it ALL! I'm going to have a re-watch VERY soon to take in all the extras. Thanks again :bolian:

From the Blu-ray Forum review:
This two-disc Blu-ray set of Star Trek: Lower Decks: Season 3 includes extras on both discs, but the vast majority of them appear on disc two. No DVD or digital copies are included with purchase. This release does not include a slipcover. Disc One:

  • Audio Commentary: For "Grounded:" Jonathan Frakes, Tawny Newsome, and Mike McMahan.

Disc Two:

  • Audio Commentaries: For "Hear All, Trust Nothing:" Nana Visitor, Armin Shimerman, Tawny Newsome, Noel Wells, Jack Quaid, Eugene Cordero, and Mike McMahan. For "A Mathematically Perfect Redemption:" Barry Kelly, Kether Donohue, and Mike McMahan. For "Crisis Point 2: Parodoxus:" Tawny Newsome, Noel Wells, Jack Quaid, Jerry O'Connell, and Mike McMahan. For "The Stars at Night:" Jack Quaid, Dawnn Lewis, and Fred Tatasciore.
  • Docking at Deep Space 9 (1080p, 12:21): Loving on the DS9 universe, animating the station and the wormhole, getting small details just right, writing and voicing the episode, and more.
  • Lower Decktionary: Season 3 (1080p, 33:06): Deconstructing the season in detail.

And that's its imposible, It need at least one week or two from Amazon send It to arrive here. Also the web Page of the blu Ray have has disappeared from Amazon.
