Oooh, L'Rell was about to be killed 1 sec after the video ended. Bye L'Rell, nice knowing you.

L'Rell has had the worst freaking arc out of any secondary character on the series. She's spent six episodes straight stuck in the brig, doing nothing, while other characters occasionally come in and talk wtih her.

It's not like there is anything she can do.

And then in her previous two or three appearances she was being held prisoner in the Klingon dungeon with Cornwell.

What's even more interesting about that scene for me is that the computer appears to respond to Georgiou's voice override command. Was she simply given Prime Georgiou's rank and commission and the computer basically treats her as the original? I don't know but it sounds like a decision that would come back to bite them. Who knows what level of actual access she might have to the ship's systems...

Cornwell gave her command of Discovery, that means Georgiou now has the same access to the ship and its systems Lorca had. Georgiou is officially the ship's captain by every definition of the word.

The Admiral probably has a backdoor, indeed you see one used when she boards the shop.

Yeah, it's obvious in retrospect... i'd chalk it up to it being late Friday evening here. But still, I'm glad I noticed this because it at least reminded me that we'll quite probably see her abuse that clearance at one point.

That got me thinking about the scene in the promo where Cornwell checks in via hologram because I figured it would mean she'd leave Georgiou without supervision... but then I checked it again and it was Saru in the Captain's chair. Poof, there goes my argument.

But still, I sure hope she's not as stupid as to simply give Georgiou the ship without any safeguards, especially considering Lorca was able to secretly override key systems from his chair panel.

Mudd was also a captain with access. Sometime the chair isn't what it seems.

House T'Kuvma feasted on your flesh!

And then L'Rell throws in a cannibalism joke.

Silly stuff, but may as well enjoy it for what it is, I suppose.
