New B-52's cd

Anyone heard it? Good stuff? or what. 1st album they did will likely never be surpassed by them, but they still usually deliver the goods.

I've only heard the two singles, 'Funplex' and 'Hot Corner', which have the Bee's usual fun sound, 'Funplex' about wacky mall people, and 'Hot Corner' is a garagy sounding song. 'Funplex' is the better of the two, and Kate and Cindy's harmonies still sound great together.

Faster Pussycat, Thrill Thrill!

We're finally starting to put Funplex in rotation at my Barnes & Noble (after two months of oldies to tie in with our "$9.99 Greatest Hits" sale), and it sounds pretty good. I didn't realize how long they've been around, but the group still has the stuff.

I love it. It's very much in the line of "Good Stuff" and "Cosmic Thing." I think it may be their most consistent album - it doesn't have quite the level of standout tracks that some of their others do, but it has hardly any weak points either.

I can't wait. I went out to buy it and couldn't find it. I'll check again.

How they keep it going, I just don't know, but they do.

And they are great in concert. Who'd a thunk it?

Cosmic Thing was better than their first album. Both are great, but Cosmic Thing surpassed their first album.

If you can, try to find it at Target - they have it with a free bonus disc of maybe six live performances of older B-52's songs.

Everytime I hear it I get "I'm your daytime waitress at the Taco Tiki Hut/Here's your stupid 7-UP" in my head.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say 'Shiny Happy People'. Yes, I know it's an REM song, but for some reason a lot of people think it's a B52s song just because Kate sings on it.
