New B-52's cd

Well good. I'll have to get it now. They were the 1st band that got me into New Wave, along with U2 & Duran Duran I suppose. They are pure fun & easier to got into for that reason. Easy to dance to as well. 2nd only to U2 for durability for bands that came out of the New wave one could argue. Depeche Mode still happenin?

They didn't vent attitude & toss communist political crap either like the Clash, or make fun of their US audience like Sting. Again, they were fun. Juicy Jungle did have a message though. Katie Pierson 2nd greatest female vocalist in rock after Ann Wilson I say.

Speaking of the Clash, I just read an interview with one of the Specials. he mentioned being exited way back at seeing the Clash in Birmingham, but being very dissapointed after the show when he saw then roll out of a Limo into a real expensive hotel.

Ricky was a huge loss. he wrote the riff to Rock Lobster. I was surprised how well they recovered & still came up with good stuff after his passing.

Love Shack is a good song, but it definitely has been played to death at this point. Not that I'll turn it away if it comes on (unless XM notifies me of something better coming on another channel). I'm more of a Rock Lobster kind of guy.

The new CD is pretty good. It won't blow you away, but it has that B-52 sound and party feel to it.

Sometimes I think the B-52's sound better when Brad Sherwood used to imitate them on Whose Line Is It Anyway. Talented as they are, Fred Schneider has a voice that practically begs you to parody it.
