Godzilla, Kong, and the MonsterVerse

I am a big fan of the 1998 Godzilla film. I wanted to let people know, Godzilla: The Series (40 episodes) has popped up on The Roku Channel. I never got to see the back 10 or so episodes, so this will be worth revisiting. I also am a big fan of the MonsterVerse. I have the 2014 reboot, Kong: Skull Island, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. I've seen Godzilla vs. Kong, but just the once, I haven't seen the second one yet. I do have Max, so I'll get around to it. There's also a Kong animated show on Netflix and a Godzilla show on AppleTV. Additionally, I'm also a big fan of the Kong movies. I watched both films from 1933 and was surprised at how well they were made given it was the 1930's. I barely remember the 2005 remake, but I have it on Blu-ray and remember it being the best of the Kong movies before the MonsterVerse came along. I don't remember the 70's remake and 80's sequel, but I do remember that I saw them as a kid and liked them.

Stuff I Haven't Seen Yet
Godzilla: The Series (animated - the back 10 or so episodes)
Skull Island (animated series)
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (series)
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (part 2)

Stuff I've Seen but Barely Remember
King Kong (1976 remake)
King Kong Lives (1986 sequel)
King Kong (2005 remake)
Godzilla vs. Kong (crossover)

Some Godzilla and Kong stuff to look forward to.

We already have a Kaiju thread. It's a good idea to look for a thread on a topic before you start a new one, that way we don't end up with a million repetitive threads.

You're pretty new to fandom aren't you?
Kaiju is what you call Japanese giant monsters like Godzilla, Gamera, and the bad guys in stuff like Kamen Rider, and Super Sentai.

You could say, I'm a fan of movies, not franchises. I love Godzilla and Kong films, and since they now coexist in the MonsterVerse, I figured why not a discussion for both movie monsters and the MV. :D

Oh, I don't watch that kind of stuff. The only "giant monster" movie monsters I can think of are:
Godzilla, King Kong, and... hmm...
I only saw the first Pacific Rim movie. Do the ocean monsters count?
I can't think of anything else.

You watched Pacific Rim and don't know what Kaiju are? They refer to the monsters in that as Kaiju repeatedly throughout the whole movie.
And like I said, we already have a thread for discussing Kaiju, and even if you don't know that word, the title does refer to Godzilla, so that's all you had to look for,

It was a movie I bought from Wal-Mart on a whim, because of a good review on YouTube. I was like, giant robots fighting giant monsters, why not? I've seen it just once. I don't really remember how it goes, just that it was fun. I have the sequel on Blu-ray as well, but I haven't watched it yet. I wanna watch both back-to-back when I find the time. They're good?

Yes, I do not know what Kaiju is beyond "giant monsters." That's what it means, right?

I don't really watch "giant monster" movies. I don't watch the Japanese Godzilla movies.
I was just trying to start a discussion on 90's Godzilla, the King Kong films, and the MonsterVerse.
I don't want to get lost discussing a genre of movies I've either never seen or never heard of.
