How many sci-fi nerds like sports?

I'm a fan of most motorsports (F1, Formula E, F2, GP3, BTCC, Indycar, DTM), as well as following Wales in rugby union. I'm not one for club rugby though. I used to like watching boxing but now everything's behind paywalls I don't bother any more. However I love watching the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games whenever they're on.

I like science, science fiction, and the Texans. These days I read more science than science fiction though, and stay pretty stoned during Texan games so I can (usually) just have a good laugh at their expense. Which happens more often than not.

I've probably answered this thread before, but if it's not Sci Fi, it's sports. Right now it's mostly Giants, Sharks, and 49ers, but I follow the Warriors and A's too.

Sports didn't interest me when I was a kid.
I wasn't good at them and I really didn't care about getting better at them.
I live near Boston MA and I grew up in a "Hockey house" where my older brothers loved the Bruins.
I watch the Patriots during football season and I will stop in for a few minutes to watch the Bruins if I see them while channel surfing. But in general if all sports disappeared overnight I wouldn't notice.

I do like football (soccer) as can be seen in my avatar, swimming and wintersports. Once there was more activity here in the sports forum. One of the most active users is gone and the whole thing died down a bit. I must confess: I watch it rather on TV instead of doing sports myself. But I go to the Gym once in a while.

Love sport and Golf is my number 1 favourite here because I enjoyed playing golf.

I absolutely abhor watching sports. Especially UK basketball, as most of the fans are "YEAH WE ARE SO BADASS" when they win, and "THE REFS CHEAT/STOLE THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!" when they lose. However, as much as I hate watching sports, I actually enjoy playing them. Basketball is fun to play, and I also enjoy tennis.

Football (soccer), hockey and baseball are the sports I watch on TV. I played golf for 30+years and occasionally watch golf as well.
