Just remember that for a lot of folks, that's foreplay.I think DSC, PIC, and ENT all suck.
The group of primary antagonists in the TV series 12 Monkeys is called the "Army of the 12 Monkeys". Many of them wear masks a lot like the ones seen used by Vadic's followers boarding the ship in the latest trailer. That's a monkey?

More or less yes, but the show had their own ones made based on a specific designI thought it was a plague doctor's mask...
Conference room builder: Choose your favorite Enterprises, just not all of them please.
Picard: I want the Probert-C, not the real one!
I think we're getting a fake out with Spiner's "Lore character. Just remember what Terry Matalas said back in August:
“Brent’s character is specifically tied into the plot and the mythology in ways that if you were to show a poster, you would have a thousand more questions. And I think you want to earn it. But he plays a new old character that you have seen and never seen before. it’s, we think, a great way to do this that honors what has come before yet treads new ground.”
He also explained that the team feels Spiner’s character is best revealed within the show itself, stating that the way the character plays itself out will be progressive. When the character is revealed, you’ll think you know who it is, but won’t be quite certain if you’re correct. The answer to who he will be is not quite clear for a bit.
My theory:
1.The crew needs Data
2. Data is stored in B4
3.Only Lore’s positronic brain can handle Data
4.(After the transfer) We’ll get three distinct personalities that eventually meld into a new character (?).
*Or Lore and B4 eventually become aspects of Data’s prominent “new” personality.

Alrighty then...I still don't see the monkey but it sounds like it means some to other people so...cheers!More or less yes, but the show had their own ones made based on a specific design
LOL. This comes up in my watching notes several times. It's like half the wardrobe was furnished from the nearby outlet mall.In PIC Season 1, they had clothing that looked too contemporary. I don't buy it as the turn of the 25th Century.
&But the masks look nothing like monkeys
The monkey imagery is symbolic. It isn't reflected in the masks themselves. Sorry for the confusion, I didn't want to go too in depth as it might spoil the show mythology for new viewers.Alrighty then...I still don't see the monkey but it sounds like it means some to other people so...cheers!
And don't you dare put that ugly refit B on my wall!! There's only one Excelsior!![*Looks around worriedly*]
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE.
See Charles Dickens, cribbed in TWOK. And then see TWOK.It's a fairly common trope across Trek: Erase one person to save someone else (see "Tuvix" and "Similitude").
In his latest live stream, Robert Meyer Burnett addressed the lighting complaints. The lighting: I can see things just fine. I just watched it again.
- A lot of the lighting is high-contrast. I'm a huge fan of high-contrast.
- Some of the lighting is drab. I don't particularly care for drab lighting, but it's not a deal-breaker.
- There's a lot of orange-and-teal. Movies these days are orange-and-teal. Since they want it to look like a movie, that's what it is. I don't love the orange-and-teal look in general, but I know it's the norm, so I can live with it. Fortunately, there are greens and reds in there too.
I never thought I'd ever make a TrekBBS post devoted solely to lighting but, since we were bludgeoned by it earlier in the thread, I thought I'd give it a highlight. Pun intended.

They have panthers. And there's very small differences.
My quick Wikipedia search says there's Cougars in Florida.
So I guess it's just an error of using the wrong term for the region.
Haha, well, from my notes...They got the decor from IKEA.![]()
They also did Season 2, so I wonder if they'll bite their tongue and do Season 3 as well.

-- Terry Matalas was able to bring in his own cinematographer
-- Not the same grim/dark
-- "It's far more bright and colorful than you'd imagine it being"
-- "None of the trailers have... captured.. the character and emotion in the season that's even been hinted at in those trailers"
The image isn't showing up. So, I'll take your word for it.The monkey imagery is symbolic. It isn't reflected in the masks themselves. Sorry for the confusion, I didn't want to go too in depth as it might spoil the show mythology for new viewers.
