Final Trailer!

Did I just see what I thought I saw? A Refit-Constitution Class in the corner? That made my day.

I hope that's the Enterprise-A. It might not be the original Enterprise, but at least it's one that Kirk was still Captain of. So it would be nice if that ship is in the museum.

it would be nice to finally get an answer to what happened to the A.

Most of their guesses seem accurate, but they’re way off with the Babylon 5 ship. They’re looking at it from the wrong angle.
I think it might be a D7/K't'inga facing slightly forward. It might be painted like the Kronos One and seem more yellowish with sunlight reflecting off the hull.

So what does that mean? They're not going to wrap the whole thing up?

Matalas has said he likes open endings where everyone can make up their own minds as to what happens next. Sir Patrick has said that JLP “still has a question mark over his head” at the end.

So no, I don’t think they’re gonna wrap everything up. The main plot, probably. But there’s gonna be plenty of stuff left to explore. Some “open doors”.

I came in to ask "Can someone turn on the lights?!", but I see that my work has been done.

I'm guessing another enchanted kid had a cosmic temper tantrum which curtailed dilithium supplies meaning all the ships have to run on low-power mode hence the dim lighting.

And that makes me nervours more than anything else. Declaring how Trek "should be" is a recipe for disaster, in my humble opinion. Star Trek is a multifaceted variety setting that can accommodate a wide variety of styles. Saying there is only one way, or limited number of ways that it should be, is too short sighted.

Nervous about whom? Matalas never declared how Trek "should be." He was a fan of TNG and the Kirk movies who joined the Trek staff for VOY/ENT and that era informs his approach but he's said that he didn't want to do a pure retread and he also has said there's no one single, definitive style of Trek. Have you seen interviews with the guy? He's not very threatening.

My last comment on anything not related to Picard
SNW Season 2 filming leaks
Someone posted what appears to be an extra in Klingon makeup, and it's very much not the Discovery makeup and a lot closer to TNG. But they were an extra, so it's possible the makeup was lower detail because they wouldn't be seen close up

:eek::eek::klingon::eek::eek:

Kelvin FIlms --> "That's not Star Trek!"
Discovery --> "What have they done to Star Trek?!"
Picard --> "What have they done to MY Star Trek?!"
Strange New Worlds --> "That's Star Trek!"

I don't make the rules but the truth of the matter is, this is the only actual occurrence of Star Trek:

But they're going to just leave all those other Vadic-like groups out there? That's kind of a big deal, isn't it?

I mean, we know they don't succeed in destroying the Federation or anything like that, but that's still kind of a huge black cloud hanging over everything...

Not nervous or "threatened " by a person but this approach. As for what Matalas said, ask the poster I quoted.

2002: "The NX-01 is an abomination to Trek history and spits all over continuity! Berman and Braga should know better!"

2022: "ENTERPRISE WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OF THE NEW STREAMING SHOWS. We had it lucky."
The funniest thing about all of this...

2000s and 2010s: "No more prequels! We want to go past Nemesis!"
2020s: "We love the prequel! But that show that went past Nemesis is trash!"

Nick Meyer was right. Fans don't know what they want.

Kurtzman's twigged on to that, which is why each approved Trek show is so radically different from the other. He's apparently stated that the shows are there to appeal to different audiences, non-trek and trekkie alike. I know a friend of mine has steadily got into Star Trek thanks to the fun of Lower Decks. It's a better way of doing things because I, or any one else can go "that show sucks!" but then go and enjoy something else from the same universe.
