Exeter

OK-I am risking kicking the bee's nest on this. I just rewatched the 3rd segment, and it's so good. I want to see the end. Please, can I?

Any word on the final segment.

I am NOT complaining, just wondering if anyone knows.

Thanks!

Why doesn't Exeter just release the entire episode at once? It makes these episodes impossible to remember if you haven't watched the last part of an episode in a year.

Although it might be frustrating for the viewer, they can release it when they want to and of course some people don't watch until it's complete.

Personally, I each time a new one comes out, I watch from the start again.

Well, by now it's obvious that if we'd waited until it was finished to release all of it people would have decided years ago that the entire project was a fraud and no such movie ever existed. ;)

You know your fan film has hit the big time when it gets treated like the new feature film.

It's true, if they waited 'til it was all finished to release it, people would have been begging them to release parts of it before, or, after a year or two, would have lost interest or decided it was never coming out (as some crybabies had done for Act 3).

As each act came out I re-watched the others first. It was a pleasure to do so, they totally hold up to multiple viewings. In fact, I sometimes watch them again just for fun. Especially the teaser, which is SO picture perfect it makes my head spin every time.

Whenever Act Four is ready, I'm ready.

I swear Exeter threads such as this have almost reached "Awww! Not this sh*t again!" status.

It'll be done when it's done; and when it IS done; we'll get angels (and the Exeter cast and crew too) trumpeting to high heaven.

I'm very interested in seeing the conclusion myself; but nothing we do will get their production team to work faster. This isn't a paid production; and I'm sure RL has reared it's ugly head for the people in the post production crew that take priority. I do hope that they one day are able to get the work they need to do to finish it done so that us folks sitting here on our asses posting to a BBS can see the end result. ;)

I'll certainly be glad when it's done, as I'm sure that everyone working on it will be. We're proud of it and of the way people are responding to it, and we certainly don't want to draw it out any longer than necessary in order to deliver the best show that we can.

And in reference to that teaser that John Hazard mentions, I kind of think that one reason (among several) some of us have become as perfectionistic about each part as we have is that once we released that opening we're unwilling to lower the bar an nth if we can help it.

And BTW, I'd rather have people persistently asking after the show and starting threads about it than have them ignore and forget us. I appreciate that, a lot.

Look on the bright side, people...relatively soon (hopefully) TTI will be done and it'll be time to ask:

"When is the NEXT one coming out?!?!?!?!?"

I just got off the phone with Jimm Johnson. In the process of repairing his computer he's had to negotiate some hardware incompatibilities - a video card upgrade didn't work out - and restore some older versions of editing software as a result. That's extended his downtime.

He expects to send me a new edit of Act Four within the week.

We're moving again - slowly at first, but we're moving forward. :)

Sorry to hear that, hope it doesn't cause to much extra work for you.

Well, I'm the last person it would cause extra work for - he's a Mac and I'm a PC (we're friends). But Jimm is central to the - well, the everything process, so what slows him down slows the production down.
