Collecting on Disc: What do you have?

DVD:
Voyager,
TNG Picard Box,
TNG Movie Box (set containing all 2-part TNG Episodes)
The Animated Series

Blu-ray:
TNG
TOS
ENT
The Roddenberry Vault
Stardate Collection (first 10 movies)
Wrath of Khan Director's Cut
The Compendium (first 2 J.J. movies)
Beyond

VHS (yeah, I know, not disc): I had most of TNG and a lot of Voyager but threw them out many years ago. I still have:
TNG Borg Box
TNG Greatest Battles
The Four Beginnings (pilot episodes)
And a special mention goes to the Dutch version of the TNG Interactive Video Board Game. Which, as far as I know, is the only time anything Star Trek related got dubbed in Dutch.

Hey was every set of Enterprise in the fancy case with embossed writing?

Silly me i put numbers on each season as they were not numbered

Those hard cases were region1 only I believe. Never saw them in Europe. We only got those slimline cases.

I have these. They were ungodly expensive to buy at the time. And I feel shame for the amount of plastic each season uses--the hard case protecting the disc case which is itself protected by a plastic sleeve. That my purchase helped create this landfill monstrosity does weigh on my conscience. If only the volumes were originally packaged more responsibly...

They do look cool, I must say.

I really never considered the waste when I got these. The retailer I purchased from was a nationwide chain that was closing down.

I scored all four seasons for 169 dollars, which at the time I thought was a bargain.

I didn't consider the waste either at the time.

Definite bargain. Mine were priced at US$90.00 new a season.

I collected them slowly. Space normal speed, you might say. :)

Compared to today those season boxes were indeed pretty expensive. But at the time I thought they were a bargain. I remember buying TNG on VHS for about $20 per tape (containing 2 episodes). Around $3 per episode didn't seem that bad.

Digital can definitely be a bargain compared to first-run VHS. I balked at purchasing any Trek stories on tape until they were five dollars or less. And then I only had "The Cage". I donated that copy to the local library to make room for other stuff. Space is such a premium where VHS is concerned.

VHS. The amount of magnetic tape from all cassettes could reach to the Beta Quadrant and back...

Would I consider buying Enterprise on Blu-ray? Maybe. The DVD's are still in good condition, and my player upscales.

The only thing I would spend my allowance on in those days were TNG tapes. Collecting them was a very slow process. I did record a lot off the tv. That way I could fit 4 or 5 episodes on one VHS. I collected almost all of DS9 that way. When I switched to DVD I had a closet full of tapes.
I can imagine that Enterprise still looks pretty good on DVD.

Enterprise still looks good on the DVDs, yes. I started collecting in earnest when I realized the quality of the discs provided superior image and sound quality at a fraction of the price. Was unable to tape shows because my VCR broke its belt.

…but much better on Blu-ray, and the complete set is now under $70 new. The first three seasons were shot on 35mm and so could be upgraded to native 4K, and the final season could be upscaled. All could use Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos plus new CGI replacing the PlayStation 2 cutscene graphics.

4K would be a good excuse to remaster early ENT seasons, which show their age thanks to HD mastering technology still being in its infancy in the early 2000s.

I have all of TNG and Picard on Blu-Ray, along with all four related films (planning to upgrade them to 4K soon, though). I also have Voyager on DVD, but I'll have to replace it someday since a few of the discs stopped playing years ago.

All of DS9 and Enerprise. Was about to get TNG but haven't with all of the streaming services now available.

Also have ST II, III, IV, VI, and First Contact, plus the JJ Abrams films.

I have a boxed set each of the original movies and The Next Generation movies on Blu-ray, and the three Kelvin Timeline movies on 4K UHD. I also have every edit of my favorite Star Trek movie, The Motion Picture, on 4K UHD in the "Complete Adventure" boxed set. It has a place of honor at the top of my shelf.
Forgot to update this after the holidays, but I now have the three seasons of The Original Series on Blu-ray (and it is wild to me that they switched the boxes between season 2 and 3; don't they understand how Trekkies think? lol).
