CENSORSHIP: WHY is Tattoo Removed From Paramount +

I MIGHT be misremembering this, but I could swear "The Way Of The Warrior" two-part version excised the Quark/Garak root beer scene, one of the most famous Trek scenes of all, which is so crazy to me.

I think the edit of "What You Leave Behind" also cut Garak & Bashir's final goodbye.

Those editors were not Garak fans, maybe.
While I wouldn't dare to dispute the popularity of the scenes, in terms of overall importance to the episodes relative to other scenes (and perhaps their placements within the episodes), I can see why they might be candidates for cutting due to time.

Just checked on my Paramount+. "Caretaker" still has that scene, and the episode "Tattoo."

P+ has had glitches in the past where episodes vanished for a few hours. I've noticed it on other series, though not on Trek before. You might have to force close the app and then restart it to get it to reappear once the glitch is resolved.
when i was doing a rewatch of TNG on P+, i had connection issues while watching a couple, and while they never actually disappeared from the list, they never became watchable again during the weeks i was watching.

on another note, removing episodes for whatever reason defeats part of the purpose of a streaming service. and if there are different cuts of things, they really should offer options

We have issues with corporations doing this in America as well but they seem to go even more hardcore in other countries with censorship. The reason is because they don't respect their customers and their is demand for censorship. Sadly their are plenty of people who really, want to control everything your allowed to read or watch or see because they want to treat grown adults like children that need to be protected.
