It's not there. It used to be, I know I have watched this ep on streaming before. I am very mad about this, what the hell?!

Last year I discovered this scene from Caretaker is now removed from Paramount+ streaming:

PARIS: Stadi, you're changing my mind about Betazoids.
STADI: Good.
PARIS: Oh, that wasn't a compliment. Until today I always consideredyour people warm and sensual.
STADI: I can be warm and sensual.
PARIS: Just not to me.
STADI: Do you always fly at women at warp speed, Mister Paris?
PARIS: Only when they're in visual range.

People told me it was to fit the length of the episode into the streaming which I didn't believe.. and now I am even less inclined to believe it.

What other Star Trek episodes are cut from streaming services?

I can see it on the Australian version of Paramount+, between Persistence of Vision and Cold Fire.

Also, the Stadi scene is missing because they're using the two-part version of Caretaker which has numerous removals and trims throughout both parts.

If this is true, then I have another reason for disliking streaming services.

Downright stiupid to cut scenes from certain episodes. What idiots could do that?

I remember having trouble with a streaming service some years ago. I discovered that CSI NY was on a streaming service and wanted to watch the series from start again. What triggered that was that I had a channel which only sjowed the first three seasons over and over bnecause of certain rights and I wanted to re-watch the whole series.

So I signed up and started to watch CSI NY which is one of my favorite series.

When I was in season 3 and was going to wathc an episode there, I got a message that "this series is no longer available".

I became very angry and the next day I called this streaming service and the following conversation took place.

LYNX: Why is CSI NY no longer available. I joined this streaming service to watch the whole series.

OPERATOR: I'm sorry but we no longer have the rights to this series. But you can watch XXXX (a certain series which I really don't like and had quit watching after only watching four episodes of it on one of my TV channels).

LYNX: But I don't want to watch XXXX. In fact, I don't like it. I hate it!

OPERATOR: But it's a good and popular series! A lot of people like it!

LYNX: I don't like it, I hate it! It is crap!

OPERATOR: But we have a lot of other series available. For example.....

LYNX: I don't want to watch them! I want to watch CSI NY. Besides that, 90% of your series are crap. I want to cancel my subscription for this parody of a streaming service and I want my money back!

OPERATOR: Of course you can cancel your subscription but we won't pay you back for the month you've already have paid for.

LYNX: Ah, never mind. Just get me out of this!

So I quit and bought CSI NY on DVD instead.

My tip is to buy VOY on DVD. Then you can watch it whenever you want and what I know, there are no episodes censored, not even the only one which should be censored and no scenes in certain episodes either.

However, My VOY DVDs are from 2006 so I don't know if anything has been changed but I haven't read or heard about any censored episodes or scenes on the DVDs

Besides that, the more people who buy DVDs instead of streaming, the better chance is to have DVDs available to buy in the future and maybe some hope for VOY on Blu-Ray too.

I just had to check this out for myself. That’s shocking. Plus it is really bad edit of the scene.

*Edited to add: Netflix has the said scene. Netflix has caretaker shown in its entirety on there and not broken down into two parts like on paramount plus. So maybe the edit is not censorship but to trim the timing for when it was shown on tv as a two parter.

Just checked on my Paramount+. "Caretaker" still has that scene, and the episode "Tattoo."

P+ has had glitches in the past where episodes vanished for a few hours. I've noticed it on other series, though not on Trek before. You might have to force close the app and then restart it to get it to reappear once the glitch is resolved.

Here's what I see:
Could you possibly have any ratings filters enabled? Persistence is G, Cold Fire is PG, but for some reason Tattoo is listed as NR, presumably Not Rated.

Even if it's not a filter issue, the glitch may have something to do with that?

Edit: Do you have both parts of Caretaker listed? Part 1 is PG, part 2 is NR.

"Caretaker" still has that scene
Some territories use the full length pilot, some use the two-part version.

According to Memory-Alpha, that scene in Caretaker was cut for time when it edited into a two part episode for TV reruns, it isn't censorship.

The issue is your local Paramount+ provider for some reason putting it up as the TV two parter instead of one episode. They do that here in Canada as well.

As for Tattoo, check what Tosk said above.

I remember finally seeing the intact pilot version of "Emissary" and being like they cut a scene with Picard saying goodbye to O'Brien?!?!?

But my favorite has to be UPN haircutting 2 minutes out of each second half of season 5 VGR episode.

This is something that happens a lot with the Canadian version of Paramount Plus. I remember a few years ago when I was going through NCIS there were episodes that would be randomly removed, come back a day or so later and sometimes up to a week. Then there were the episodes which, if you clicked on one episode it showed a completely different one. And yes, if you clicked on the one you got instead, it would take you to the one you were originally trying to watch.

I dunno, it's like they want you to buy the DVDs instead.

I MIGHT be misremembering this, but I could swear "The Way Of The Warrior" two-part version excised the Quark/Garak root beer scene, one of the most famous Trek scenes of all, which is so crazy to me.

I think the edit of "What You Leave Behind" also cut Garak & Bashir's final goodbye.

Those editors were not Garak fans, maybe.
