Spoilers Andor season one

Obviously Hera was flying the Ghost at Scarif (with Chopper and maybe Zeb, Rex & Kallus too.) Chopper was right there when Mon was told about Admiral Raddus, and Fake-Wedge called Hera's name out over the PA earlier after Jyn's impassioned speech. I mean technically she only needed two gunners since the Phantom II wasn't docked (my head canon is that she left it with Sabine on Lothal) but the more the merrier!
Not in Rogue One. He'd be a baby.
Given the timing, he'd probably still be a foetus. Hera wasn't even close to showing yet during the finale, and that was supposedly mere days away from ANH. Jacen was probably born about 6-8 months after ANH, depending on how long they were on the ground infiltrating Lothal in the first place, and how long Hera was away after escaping with the TIE Defender intel.

So has Hera, sort of. We saw The Ghost in both Rogue One and The Rise of Skywalker. Who else would be piloting?
The Rise of Skywalker novelization actually tries to dance around the issue. It names everyone sending a signal that they're ready to join the fight, Chewie, Lando, Wedge and so on, but for the Ghost only says "the Captain of the Ghost" with no other identification at all.

Rogue One came out before they got the Phantom II right? I wonder if that’s why it wasn’t there, not to spoil the future plot point

Nope ('The Last Battle' aired in Oct '16, while the Rogue One came out second week of December IIRC ), but that could still have been the general idea regardless; give the show as much leeway as they can on the off chance they ended up portraying their perspective of these same events. Same basic reason we stopped seeing The Ghost in battle during the withdrawal. Just in case.

Capped off my re-watch of Andor with a fresh viewing of Rogue One (The "Where Rebels Dare fan edit, which keeps the film relatively intact but re-orders some of the initial scenes so they flow better).

Puts a whole different spin on Andor's character watching it after the TV show. Also, in that final scene, when he tells Jyn that her father would have been proud of her and they embrace before being consumed, you just know he was thinking of Marva.

Basically Andor shows us what other shows have basically only been telling us. The evil nature of the Empire and how it effects people. Citizens of the Empire, Rebels, and even people in Imperial service. Some of that we've seen, but not on such a personal level when it doesn't involve a Force wielder. It reminds us what a Fascist State looks like and feels like to people, and that the Empire is not suppose to be cheered on like they are the good guys fighting some cultist wizards, smugglers, pirates, and terrorists (because I know people who see the Empire as the good guys)

I think he's comparing them to other recent material which has portrayed them not as scary.
People say this but they don't feel any different to me from what was shown in the OT. They could be competent to downright incompetent. I get that the Disney era has more material to draw upon, but...I don't see that big of a difference.
Yep. Disney Era depictions of the Empire can be all over the map from marginally sinister and ominous to downright fascistic and evil and Andor is the most brutal it's been depicted in a while.
So...like the OT, then. Again, there is a reason why the biggest costuming fan group is based upon the Empire, and the stormtrooper.

And people will continue to see that as such, Because they don't trust the narrator, nor what happens in the shows to be all encompassing of what the Empire does. And some of the Comics and "Tales of..." book series showcase the positives of the Empire, and people who view the Rebels as terrorists, and traitors and the bad guys. As well as showing Vader as a protagonist.

Andor showed the ground level, but also showed people who were wiling to work for the Empire as well.

Like what?

I've seen all of this before in the Original Trilogy, "The Bad Batch", "Solo", "Star Wars Rebels" and "Rogue One". To me, it's nothing new. And I don't understand why

Like what?
Primarily in the Mandalorian where we are shown characters take down whole squads of stormtroopers, or doubling down on the "can't shoot straight" joke with the scout troopers in Mandalorian Season 1. But, as you say...

It's quite simple-these are the latest examples of the show, and people utilize them as weapons against Disney, which they mostly (aside from Rogue One) disagree with how the franchise has been handled. So, it's not that there are any specific examples that are more egregious than in the OT, or Rebels or whatever. Just that they are the most recent examples and useful for talking points.

It isn't actually that different from the OT. It's just that people accept the OT as being "great" in broad strokes, and ignore examples of the same behaviors that they condemn in new productions. For me, it's just an example of fan bias and double standards that's been present for a while.

IGN has chosen Andor as their Best TV Series of 2022: https://www.ign.com/articles/best-tv-series-2022
The IGN article said:
The tale of Cassian Andor’s rise from ruffian to revolutionary, the show features scripts that have never been of this high a standard at any point in Star Wars history. And with rose-tinted glasses removed there’s a genuine argument that it’s never been as good as this in general. Andor isn’t just a brilliantly made Star Wars show; it’s a brilliantly made TV show full stop thanks to the lofty ambitions and clinical execution of each of its 12 episodes. [...]

Their other nominees were Better Caul Saul, House of the Dragon, Severance, and The Bear.

I would have cheered over "House of the Dragon" winning the award.
While I think that's only the show from that list that I've seen (haven't seen The Bear but have heard nothing but great thigns about) that doesn't deserve to be on that list of the rest.

There are actually people out there who root for the Empire? I've seen movies and TV shows do jokes about that, but I didn't think anyone actually did.
